Improving to 22-5-1-1 on the season when possessing home-ice advantage, the Spirit extend their overall winning streak to six games, clinching an OHL Playoff berth for the 13th time dating back to 2005-06. Box Score Video Highlights GAME RECAP: vs Oshawa The Saginaw Spirit’s six-game win-streak was snapped in a 5-1 loss to the Oshawa Generals Saturday evening. Saginaw dropped a game at home for the first time since December 1 after winning the last 14-straight. Saginaw is now 22-6-1-1 at home this season, third-best home win percentage in the entire Ontario Hockey League. Box Score Video Highlights GAME RECAP: @ Sarnia A third period comeback Monday by the Saginaw Spirit earned them one point in a 7-6 shootout loss against the Sarnia Sting. The Spirit trailed by as many as three goals before managing to shorten the divide for the Ontario Hockey League West Division lead by two points. It’s the first game decided in extra time since November 23, 2018, for Saginaw and second time the playoff-bound club was defeated at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena this season.
