Mark Howe, who spent 10 seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers and was inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003, returns to Philadelphia as a head coach for the CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game for the first time.

Howe played 16 seasons in the NHL, suiting up for the (1979-1982), Philadelphia Flyers (1982-92) and Red Wings (1992-95). A five-time NHL All-Star, Howe totaled 742 points (197-545) in 929 career NHL games. He also holds the NHL record for most career shorthanded goals by a defenseman with 28. Howe began his professional career with six seasons in the and led the Houston Aeros to the 1974 and 1975 Avco Cups alongside his brother, Marty, and father, Gordie.

Internationally, Howe represented the U.S. on two occasions. At age 16, he helped Team USA earn a silver medal at the 1972 Olympic Winter Games in Sapporo, Japan, and became the youngest hockey player to win an Olympic medal. He also represented Team USA at the 1981 .

Howe, who will enter his 21st with the in 2016-17, currently serves as the team’s director of pro scouting. He was a pro scout for the Red Wings’ championship runs in 1997, 1998 and 2002 and was in his current role for Detroit’s last championship in 2008.

John LeClair, who played 10 seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers and was inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009, will serve as a head coach for the CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game for the first time. The first American-born player to record three consecutive 50- seasons in the NHL (1995-98), LeClair skated for three teams over 16 NHL seasons, including the Canadiens (1990-95), Philadelphia Flyers (1999-2004) and Penguins (2005-07). A member of the 1993 champion , LeClair registered 406 goals and 413 assists for 819 points in 967 career NHL games. Among American-born players, his 406 goals rank eighth all-time while his 819 points sit at 14th. Internationally, LeClair represented the on five different occasions, including two International Federation World Junior Championships (1988, 1989), one World Cup of Hockey (1996), and two Olympic Winter Games (1998, 2002). At the 1996 World Cup of Hockey, LeClair finished second in the tournament with 10 points (6-4) in seven games to help the U.S. claim the inaugural event. A silver medalist with the U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Utah, LeClair completed his international career with 34 career points (22-12) in 31 games. The St. Albans, native starred with the University of Vermont from 1987-1991 and finished his collegiate career with 116 points (56-60) in 92 games. He was inducted into the UVM Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001, Vermont Principals Association Hall of Fame in 2004 and Vermont Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. Nov. 3-6 – The U.S. National and Developmental Sled Hockey Teams will hold training camps in Madison, Wisconsin. The camp will be Team USA’s final preparation for the World Sled Hockey Challenge that will be held in Charlottetown, PEI, Canada from Dec. 2-10. The United States is seeking its third straight title and fifth overall after claiming the event in 2009, 2012, 2015, and 2016.
