In his push for “Patient Centric Care” he wants everyone to know it’s more than just a concept or a catchy phrase. It is an organization-wide initiative that Covenant is adopting to make sure at the heart of everything we do is the patient. It’s not just our mission — it’s a combination of our vision and values, our core strategies and goals we use to move us towards our mission, plus the people who help put those characteristics into the care we provide. In short, it’s about our culture. Every decision, every action, should be purposefully conducted in the best interest of the patient. And for those not provid- ing direct care, then it’s about supporting those who do. Covenant leadership, employees, and medical professionals are encouraged to incorporate this philosophy into conversations, meetings and day-to-day work activities. It all begins with what makes Covenant — Covenant. Carrying out the mission of providing “Extraordinary Care For Every Generation” means having an employee family who is dedicated to always putting the patient and his or her needs first. LIVING OUT THESE WE CARE VALUES IS WHAT WE STRIVE FOR: WORKING TOGETHER – We understand that teamwork is the foundation of our success. We diligently work together as a team while balancing work and home life. EXCELLENCE – We strive through empowerment to do and be the very best in all of our endeavors. CUSTOMER SERVICE – We recognize that our very existence is to serve. We commit to an unsurpassed level of service to all our customers. ACCOUNTABILITY – We are responsible to our communities, our organization and to each other. RESPECT – We display a high regard for the personal dignity, diversity and uniqueness of those served and those serving. We treat all others as we would want to be treated. ENTHUSIASM – We project a spirit and attitude that is positive and optimistic. We seek to find good in all people and all situations. Over the years, Covenant has developed programs to allow people to receive care closer to home in their communities. From cardiovascular advancements to cancer care, we continue to serve the needs of our community. Covenant is proud to be the hospital more patients in the Great Lakes Bay Region trust with their care. More than 1 in 3 patients seek the care Covenant provides. We know patients have a choice in their healthcare, and we want to make sure by doing the right things and looking at things from their eyes they continue to choose Covenant.
