UDC 72.03 (477.75) Privolneva S.A., st .lec.. KKTD., National Aviation University, Ukraine ARTISTIC TRADITION AS THE FACTOR OF THE FORMATION OF THE MODERN CRIMEAN TATAR ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN Abstract: In the article are considered the Crimean Tatar (C.T.) architectural and artistic traditions, which are used in modern conditions. There are analyzed the architecture and design of modern C.T. cafes and restaurants, in which such traditions were embodied most organically. There was predicted the evolution of the C.T. architecture with the active use of products of the folk art. Keywords: The contemporary Crimean Tatar architecture, artistic traditions, design, folk crafts. Statement of the problem. Important component of modern Crimean Tatar culture is an architectural work - a vivid manifestation of national identity. For its fruitful development becomes a prerequisite knowledge and understanding of artistic traditions of the Crimean Tatar people, as well as a critical analysis of the practical use of these traditions in contemporary architecture and design. Analysis of recent research and publications. Understanding the artistic traditions of the Crimean Tatar architecture is impossible without knowledge of the conditions of its formation as a "truly scientific analysis of any historical phenomenon leads to reliable results only when it is launched from the origins of this phenomenon" [1, p.5]. The problem of the genesis of the Crimean Tatar architecture is still far from being solved, as insufficiently studied sources of its formation, the relationship of architectural and artistic traditions of the Turkic world. Also very ambiguous interpretation of the genesis of the Tatars, the region of their settlement.

  • Apperception of Sufism: Sociocultural Background (Evidence from the Crimean Ulus of the Golden Horde)
How to Cite: Chernysheva, E. V. (2021). Apperception of Sufism: sociocultural background (evidence from the Crimean ulus of the golden horde). Linguistics and Culture Review, 5(S2), 401- 414. https://doi.org/10.37028/lingcure.v5nS2.1362 Apperception of Sufism: Sociocultural Background (Evidence from the Crimean Ulus of the Golden Horde) Elena V. Chernysheva Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov, Simferopol, Russian Federation Abstract---The study states that the spread of Sufi teachings in Crimea in the 13th-15th centuries should be considered as a display of the continuous recursiveness of spiritual culture. The prerequisites for apperception are developing as a result of the formation of an institutional matrix, the basis of which was the union of the so-called nomadic empires and Hellenistic states. Maintenance of the Khazar heritage, the impact of the Hellenistic culture, and recursive practice contributed to the spread of Sufism. The atmosphere of the Golden Horde became a certain “fertiliser” for the establishment of the social structure and development of the spiritual life of the medieval Turkic world. The research highlights the specifics of Jochid rulers’ attitude towards Christians. The study describes the role of the first Muslim rulers in the development of new religious traditions of the state, the spread of the Arab-Muslim educational model in the Crimean ulus, the impact of Sufi brotherhoods on the socio-cultural development of Crimea and the influence of prominent Sufis on the ruling elite. In conclusion, the apperception of Sufism is an organic, tradition-based perception of doctrine as the basis of the medieval Crimea’s ideology.

  • National Identity and Regional Integration in Central Asia: Turkestan Reunion
NATIONAL IDENTITY AND REGIONAL INTEGRATION IN CENTRAL ASIA: TURKESTAN REUNION by Hasan Ali KARASAR A Dissertation Submitted to the Institute of Economics and Social Sciences in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in International Relations Ankara Institute of Economics and Social Sciences Bilkent University 2002 ii İMZA SAYFASI iii To D. Ş. iv ABSTRACT The existing conceptual and terminological anarchy in the literature about the Central (Inner or Middle) Asian region was a starting point of this dissertation. Thus, the basic objective for this study was to review the literature as to which terms were used by whom, when and with what kinds of motives? With the final objective of trying to bring some clarifications to the field. This is a historical study with an eventual international relations repurcassions in mind. Historically, the term Turkestan has been used by many. It differs from most of its contemporary alternatives. It is not only a geographic and political term but also a politico-ethnic one, in Persian, Turkestan means “the country of Turks.” The term has also been used in the literature to cover four different names and areas: Western or Russian (then Soviet) Turkestan, Eastern or Chinese Turkestan, Southern or Afghan Turkestan as well as the Greater (Uluğ) Turkestan to encompass all. Extensive review of encyclopedical and primary sources and the researcher’s numerous interviews and long-time field observations on the subject reveal significant findings. First of all, the region was called with different names by different peoples throuought its history. However, from the 7th Century AD on, the name Turkestan has been the longest survived one.
