This report details our performance for 2019/20 against the strategic themes outlined in our Library Plan 2017–2021 and our Annual Budget 2019/20. Special Meeting of Council Agenda 12/10/2020 3 Presentation of officer reports 3.1 Annual Report 2019-20 Abstract This report is presented for Council endorsement of the Annual Report for the 2019- 20 financial year. As required by Section 134 of the Local Government Act 1989, the Annual Report 2019-20 is considered at a meeting of Council, in order to present the report to the community. The report provides details on performance against the themes, strategic objectives and performance measures from the Council Plan 2017-21 and the Budget 2019-20. This report has been prepared from information provided by Managers and key staff across the organisation, as well as information collated through the June 2020 Quarterly Performance Report. The required public notice has been undertaken advising the availability of the Annual Report 2019-20 and advertising details of the public meeting. The Annual Report which includes Council’s Best Value Report as presented complies with the provisions of the Local Government Act 1989 and Local Government (Planning and Reporting) Regulations 2014. Additionally, the report fairly represents Council’s operations, financial position and Council’s performance in respect of the 2019-20 financial year. New Resident Information www.manningham.vic.gov.au New Resident Information COUNCIL ABOUT Manningham City Council is located in Melbourne’s north-eastern suburbs, commencing with its western boundary in Bulleen, 10 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD and extending to Wonga Park at its eastern extremity, 32 kilometres from the CBD. The City is bounded by the Yarra River, Banyule City and Nillumbik Shire in the north, Yarra Ranges Shire in the east, Koonung Creek, Maroondah City and the Cities of Whitehorse and Boroondara in the south and Banyule City and the Yarra River in the west. The City encompasses a total land area of 114 square kilometres, including a substantial 17% green open spaces. The non-urban areas include a large tract of the Green Wedge, and are used mainly for rural residential living, conservation and small scale agriculture. The City includes the suburbs of Bulleen, Doncaster, Doncaster East, Donvale, Nunawading (part), Park Orchards, Ringwood North (part), Templestowe, Templestowe Lower, Warrandyte, Warrandyte South and Wonga Park (part).
