New Resident Information www.manningham.vic.gov.au New Resident Information COUNCIL ABOUT Manningham City Council is located in Melbourne’s north-eastern suburbs, commencing with its western boundary in Bulleen, 10 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD and extending to Wonga Park at its eastern extremity, 32 kilometres from the CBD. The City is bounded by the Yarra River, Banyule City and Nillumbik Shire in the north, Yarra Ranges Shire in the east, Koonung Creek, Maroondah City and the Cities of Whitehorse and Boroondara in the south and Banyule City and the Yarra River in the west. The City encompasses a total land area of 114 square kilometres, including a substantial 17% green open spaces. The non-urban areas include a large tract of the Green Wedge, and are used mainly for rural residential living, conservation and small scale agriculture. The City includes the suburbs of Bulleen, Doncaster, Doncaster East, Donvale, Nunawading (part), Park Orchards, Ringwood North (part), Templestowe, Templestowe Lower, Warrandyte, Warrandyte South and Wonga Park (part). Planning Council’s Statutory Planning Unit manages the planning approvals process and conducts planning investigations.     Identifying metro Melbourne restricted postcodes This tool is to help businesses identify metropolitan Melbourne postcodes. BLUE are restricted postcodes and GREY should be asked whether they are from within a restricted metropolitan zone. Follow our checklist below. 1. Ask for the customer’s ID 2. Check the postcode on the ID against the list of postcodes below 3. If the postcode is not highlighted in BLUE or GREY, then you can have them dine in or proceed with the service 4. Spanning approximately 2,500 square kilometres, the municipality stretches from the densely populated outer suburbs up into the surrounding foothills, agricultural valleys and forested areas of the Great Dividing Range. It is one of Victoria's largest, most varied and scenic municipalities. There are more than 55 suburbs, townships, small communities and rural areas in the Yarra Ranges. The Energy Efficiency in my Street: Reducing energy use in Yarra Ranges one street at a time project set out to upgrade old and inefficient streetlights in specific disadvantaged communities across the municipality. Apart from improving the amenity of local streets, the project sought to demonstrate that investing in energy efficiency can be an effective way of reducing day to day running costs.

    Notice of Approval of Amendment to a Planning Scheme to Be Presented to Parliament

    Form 1 Section 38(1) NOTICE OF APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO A PLANNING SCHEME TO BE PRESENTED TO PARLIAMENT On 3 February 2021 the Minister approved Amendment C249card to the Cardinia Planning Scheme. The amendment was prepared by Cardinia Shire Council. The Cardinia Shire Council will be responsible for administering the scheme. The changes to the scheme are: The amendment amends various provisions of the Cardinia Planning Scheme, including correcting zoning and overlay mapping anomalies, updating references to heritage places in the schedule to Clause 43.01 and updating references to two incorporated documents in the schedule to Clause 72.04. The Minister exempted Cardinia Shire Council from the requirements of sections 19(2) and 19(3) of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 being the requirement to: Publish a notice of the amendment in a newspaper generally circulating in the area. Publish a notice of the preparation of the amendment in the Government Gazette. Notice of the amendment was given: by notice to the Ministers (or municipal council) prescribed by direct notice to 19 directly impacted owners/ occupiers. The Minister did not consult the responsible authority. The Minister did not prepare the amendment under section 20A of the Planning and Environment Act 1987.
