CENTRAL BUSINESS UNIT (CBU) WINNER OF THE NATIONAL AWARD ‘Best Performing Unit’ 2013/2014 KEY HIGHLIGHTS AWARENESS Ÿ The CANSA Amajuba Care Centre successfully hosted its first stakeholder breakfast on 11 June 2014, sponsored by Majuba Lodge and the Newcastle Inn, helping to promote the service that the centre provides to the community. Ÿ In September 2014, the Phakamisa Prostate Programme was launched at the Thekolohelong Welfare Centre in Qwaqwa. Ÿ The Mangaung breast cancer walk took place on 4 October 2014 with 110 participants who each received a free clinical breast examination as part of the registration fee. Ÿ A breast cancer fun run was held on 11 October 2014 in Tumahole, Parys.
