Farmers Insurance Exchange has signed a multi-year deal with Symbility Solutions to use its workflow software tools to manage property claims. Farmers is owned by Zurich Group and is the third largest provider of motor and property insurance in the . The company has over 24,000 employees and 15 million customers. The first phase of the Symbility implementation at Farmers will be complete by the end of November 2010 and will see 600 field adjusters using the system alongside office-based claims handlers in the Michigan head office. "The scale of this deployment shows that the time has come for collaborative workflow management in property claims which gives all participants a single view of the claims data," said Brian Hill, head of the Symbility Business Unit at Innovation Group, the UK partner of Symbility Solutions.
