INTRODUCTION Ponds are considered to be one of the most productive and biologically rich inland surface water ecosystems. It represents a complete self-maintaining and self-regulating ecosystem. The dominating characteristics of aquatic environment result from the physical properties of water. A water molecule is composed of oxygen atom which is slightly negatively charged bounded with two hydrogen atoms, which are slightly positive charged.
