    STRÅK 19 Stråkstudie för väg 19 Version 0.93, 2007-05-16 1 Inledning Bakgrund I samband med att den nu gällande Regionala investeringsplanen för Skåne 2004-2015 togs fram, pekades åtta viktiga regionala vägstråk ut, vilka tillsammans med de nationella stamvä- garna ansågs som särskilt viktiga för trafikförsörjningen och den regionala utvecklingen i Skåne. Vägstråken är följande (observera att stråknumren inte korresponderar helt mot väg- numren): • 11 Malmö – Simrishamn • 13 Ystad –Hörby • 19 Ystad - Kristianstad – Östanå (med koppling till väg 23 mot norr) • 21 Åstorp – Kristianstad • 23 Hörby – Höör – Hässleholm – Osby – Älmhult • 108 Trelleborg – Perstorp/Klippan • 109 Helsingborg – Höör • 117 Hässleholm – Markaryd På uppdrag av Region Skåne har Vägverket region Skåne i så kallade stråkstudier analyserat och tagit fram förslag till utvecklingsstrategier för de utpekade regionala stråken. Syfte Syftet med stråkstudierna är att: 1. Definiera vilken funktion respektive stråk förväntas fylla utifrån en helhetssyn. 2. Analysera brister i stråket mot bakgrund av förväntad funktion och de transport- politiska delmålen. 3. Ta fram förslag på lämpliga och rimliga åtgärder utifrån fyrstegsprincipens synsätt för att fylla förväntad funktion och nå de transportpolitiska delmålen. 4. Ange riktlinjer för utformningen av fysiska vägåtgärder i stråket. 5. Peka ut platser och ange åtgärder som stöder samordning mellan olika trafikslag. Stråkstudierna ska leda till att varje åtgärd i stråket stöder och följer en beslutad strategi som baseras på helhetssyn och att de inriktas mot en målstandard som ska kunna nås inom cirka 25 år. Stråkstudierna ska utgöra underlag vid planeringsomgången för upprättande av Regional investeringsplan för Skåne 2010-2019.
