The guests departed from the marketplace and were officially seen off by the Lord Mayor to the accompaniment of music provided by the various musical societies in Schorndorf. In the opinion of the local participants and guests these few days marked the culmination of all the events organised in 1982 in the context of the twinning activities which helped to keep the idea of "twinning" alive and develop it furthero

III. The "EURO 80 Club"

In addition to the activities of the ERUO 80 Club referred to in earlier correspondence, which cannot be listed in detail, the following activities are worthy of special note;

16-20 May 10th anniversary of the ERUO 80 Club. In addition to visitors from Belgium, Italy, Norway and Germany, two representatives from Tulle also took part in the festivities to mark the 10th anniversary of the EURO 80 Club in Schorndorf.

24 December 1982 - 8 representatives of the EURO 80 Club visited Tulle 2 January 1983 and endeavoured, particularly at a working meeting, to revive a EURO 80 Club in Tulle. It had ceased to exist some years previously because of lack of new members. These activities proved to be successful and there are plans to set up a EURO 80 Club again in Tulle.

Furthermore for years now there have been regular contacts between private persons and families in Tulle and Schorndorf which the Mayor's office is not always aware of in detail. In conclusion it is fair to say that activities are constantly being stepped up and are proving very satisfactory and successful, even without the direct intervention of the Mayor's office.
