He begins at the Ambassadors Theatre, where the production of Mousetrap began its West End run in 1952. Starring: Boris Karloff, Ewan Roberts, Gerard Heinz and Phil Brown. Colonel March investigates unusual cases in this classic 1950s TV series. A train disaster is told as four short stories to give character studies of the people involved, how it will affect them and how they deal with it. William Potts, a bumbling teacher turns out to be the exact double of a German general. He is flown into Germany to impersonate the general and obtain secret plans. After WW2, veteran George Hoskins persuades his skipper, Bill Randall, to use their old naval ship for a small-time smuggling operation. But things soon escalate to bigger plans.
