Eat What the Locals Eat One time, Jim Landry was leading a project to help a community where flood waters had destroyed many homes. The town mayor asked Jim to come and eat dinner with him. In this culture, the food is served on a table with a raised turntable. The food is placed on the part that spins around the table. If you are eating a meal this way, you take a little of everything. Jim tried one dish that tasted very interesting. The town mayor asked if he liked it. Jim liked it, but he did not like it that much. But he was being polite and answered yes. They placed a whole plate full right in front of Jim, so he asked what it was that he was eating. They told him it was snake! Draw a picture of what you think a snake on a plate would look like.
