RON prizes, the most important prizes in the business media. The prizes awarded by Saptamâna Financiara reward the persons or institutions that have shown remarkable performances during the precedent year, in various fields of the economic and political life. The Silver RON was handed over by Mircea Geoana, President of the Romanian Senate. "For the last four years, our compass has pointed only to success!" This was the motto under which Saptamâna Financiara, leader of the Romanian business newspapers, celebrated on Monday, March 9, four years since its launch. “Saptamâna Financiara is the leader of business newspapers in Romania. We set a record since we became market leaders in only three years. Getting here was easier, but it will be more difficult to hold this place which honors us. We will remain on top only with the support of our readers, to whom we thank”, declared Gabriela Vrânceanu-Firea, General Manager of the newspaper. Many politicians, representatives of the Romanian business and financial-banking environment attended the event. Among those who came to celebrate Saptamâna Financiara, we saw Camelia Voiculescu, President of INTACT, Mircea Geoana, President of the Senate, Cristian Diaconescu, Minister of External Affairs, Dan Nica, Minister of Internal Affairs, Marian Sârbu, Minister of Labor, Adrian Nastase, Prime Minister from 2000 to 2004, Marian Vanghelie, Mayor of Sector 5, Varujan Vosganian, former Minister of Finance, Crin Antonescu, Senator, Constantin Chirca, Deputy Manager of BNR, Emil Constantinescu, President of Romania from 1996 to 2000, Bogdan Baltazar, Monica Tatoiu, Robert Negoita, Ionel Blanculescu, former President of ANC. The highlight of the event was the awarding of MR. RON prizes, the top prizes of the business media. This year, the winner of the Golden RON, the highest award granted by Saptamâna Financiara, was Bogdan Aurescu, Secretary of State in the Ministry of External Affairs "for having undertook the liability in a historical feat of Romania and for having turned it into a success”. Bogdan Aurescu dedicated the prize to the entire team which represented Romania in the trial with Ukraine on the Maritime Delimitation in the Black Sea. The Silver RON was awarded to lawyer Gabriel Zbârcea, managing partner in Tuca, Zbârcea & Asociatii Law Firm, designated by Financial Times as the most innovative law firm in Central and South-Eastern Europe. Raed Arafat, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Health, was awarded the Bronze RON for the highly efficient management model implemented in the health sector and the activity of the Medical Emergency Resuscitation and Descarceration Unit. “I am honored by this award, which cannot be individual, because it would have been impossible for one man to achieve by himself everything that has been done. It is an award for a whole team”, excitedly declared Raed Arafat. Seven excellence prizes rewarded special results in various sectors. The Bucharest Mayor, Sorin Oprescu, was rewarded for the projects meant to create and support the Bucharest brand. The prize for excellence in communications was awarded to Adrian Vasilescu, advisor of NBR Governor, for the professional and efficient manner in which the National Bank informs the public on its activity. Romtelecom, one of the top companies in Romania, received the prize of excellence for its success in penetrating the Internet and digital television markets. Mircea Oancea, President of the Commission for Supervision of the Private Pension System, was awarded a prize for the authority and competence with which he runs one of the youngest markets in Romania. Dinu Pescariu, CEO of Pescariu Sports&Spa, was awarded the prize of excellence for creating a brand in the sports sector, by changing the former Cutezatorii base into a modern leisure center. Saptamâna Financiara awarded two special prizes of excellence for the initiatives taken this year. The Minister of Health, Ion Bazac, was rewarded for having simplified the establishment of pharmacies in rural areas. The Minister of Education, Ecaterina Andronescu, was awarded the prize of excellence for the project of an after-school program, deemed to be beneficial for both pupils and parents. page 1 / 1.
