They also try to find out their strength and weaknesses with a view to focus on their developmental needs in the years ahead. The same also is true of individuals, organizations, institutions and those entrusted with leadership positions. Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi clocked four years in office as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri on the 3rd of June 2018. In these past four years, the University experienced tremendous infrastructural, academic and administrative developments which is attributable to the outcome of advocacy visits he undertook with his management team immediately he assumed the mantle of leadership of the University on 3rd June 2014. This edition of the University Bulletin presents to you these monumental infrastructural development of Professor Njodi's administration in the last four years. Amongst these are the New Senate Building, Senate Chambers, NLNG Laboratories, Professors' Quarters etc. These and others can be said to what led to his being awarded the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) Award by the President and Commander-in-Chief, Muhammadu Buhari GCON. The University conducted its 23rd Combined Convocation Ceremony for the award of Degrees, Diploma, Certificates and Award of prizes to its graduands and also conferred “Emeriti” Professor title on three eminent scholars of the University.
