The big brother, however, has further academic accolades to its credit as it inducts both medical and veterinary doctors into active service for humanity. The inductees no doubt will proudly bear the torch of the University as a Centre of Excellence wherever they serve. Also in this edition, you will get to know that the 52nd Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference of Nigerian Society of Neurological Science (NSNS) will be held in Unimaid later in the year. This is a further proof of the University’s pursuit of excellence just as the College of Medical Sciences presented awards of honour to sixty-four per- sonalities who in one way or the other contributed to the success of both the College and the University. You will also read about Unimaid staff taking over the prestigious positions of the Registrar/Chief Executive of the Institute of Chartered Ac- countants of Nigeria (ICAN) and that of President, Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB).
