Beykoz Çavuşbaşı Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi’nde tarih öğretmeni olarak görev yapan Aykol, 2016 yılından bu yana Türk Edebiyatı Vakfı tarafından yayınlanan“Türk Edebiyatı”dergisinin yazı kurulunda yer almaktadır. Cengiz HAKSÖZ engiz Haksöz, Marmara Üniversitesi Siyaset Bilimi ve Uluslararası Cİlişkiler Bölümü’nden 2003 yılında mezun olduktan sonra yüksek lisans derecesini Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi (ODTÜ) Sosyoloji Bölümü’nden 2007 yılında almıştır. Halen, Pittsburgh Üniversitesi Antropoloji Bölümü ile Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi Sosyoloji Bölümü'nde doktora adayıdır. Cengiz Haksöz’ün başlıca ilgi alanları coğrafi bölge olarak Balkanlar, Doğu Avrupa, Türkiye ve Kuzey Amerika'dır. Azınlık hakları, yemek-gıda, kolektif hafıza, sınırlar, kimlik, azınlık, etnisite, dil, din, milliyetçilik, mekân ve kent çalışmaları ise Haksöz’ün teorik ilgi alanları arasında yer almaktadır. 4 Garabet K. Dr. Moumdjian çeşitli akademik posizyonlarda bulunmuştur. 4-9. sınıflar için hazırlanmış çok ciltli “Tarihimiz” (Mer Badmutyune) başlıklı tarih ders kitabının yazarıdır. Bunun yanında, iki akademik eserin, yaklaşık on kitap bölümünün ve akademik dergilerde yayınlanmış pek çok makalenin yazarıdır. Mustafa Kemal ÖZTOPAL ustafa Kemal Öztopal, İktisat ve Girişimcilik Üniversitesi Türk MDünyası İşletme Fakültesi Uluslararası İlişkiler Bölümü’nden (Kırgızistan) 2009 yılında mezun olduktan sonra, 2017 yılında “Rusya Federasyonu’nun Kırım’ı İlhakına Uluslararası Tepkiler” başlıklı teziyle Giresun Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Uluslararası İlişkiler Anabilim Dalı’ndan yüksek lisans derecesini almıştır. Halen Giresun Üniversitesi Espiye Meslek Yüksekokulu’nda görev yapmaktadır. Başlıca çalışma alanları, Avrasya, Karadeniz Havzası ve Orta Asya’dır. Jeremy SALT elbourne, Boğaziçi ve Bilkent üniversitelerinde öğretim üyeliği Mgörevlerinde bulunmuş olan Jeremy Salt, modern Orta Doğu tarihi; Orta Doğu’da din ve siyaset; medya ve siyaset ve propaganda konularında dersler vermiştir. “Imperialism, Evangelism and the Ottoman Armenians 1878-1896” (Frank Cass, London, 1993) ve “The Unmaking of the Middle East. A History of Western Disorder in Arab Lands” (Berkeley: University of California Press, 2008) başlıklı kitapların yazarıdır. “The Last Ottoman Wars. The Human Cost 1877-1923” başlıklı üçüncü kitabı 2019 yılında yayınlanacaktır. Salt’ın, Middle East Policy, Third World Quarterly, Middle Eastern Studies, Muslim World, Current History, International Journal of Turkish Studies, Journal of Palestine Studies ve Review of Armenian Studies dergilerinde yayınlanmış makaleleri de bulunmaktadır. Liubov Suliandziga, 2009-2012 yıllarında RAIPON (the Russian Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North) ve CSIPN (Center for Support of Indigenous Peoples of the North) çalışmalarına katılmış, yerli halkların haklarının ihlali konularında araştırmalarda bulunmuş, Rusya’daki yerli halkların yaşam standartları hakkında araştırmalar yapmış ve Birleşmiş Milletler ve Dünya Bankası’nın düzenlediği konferanslara katılmıştır. Liubov Suliandziga halen Kyushu Üniversitesi Sosyal ve Kültürel Çalışmalar Fakültesi’nde araştırma görevlisi olarak çalışmakta ve yerli halkların hakları üzerine olan çalışmalarına devam etmektedir. 5 Fethi Kurtiy ŞAHİN rta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi (ODTÜ) Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü’nde Oaraştırma görevlisi olarak görev yapmakta olan Fethi Kurtiy Şahin, aynı üniversitenin Bölge Çalışmaları Doktora Programı’nda akademik çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir. She has worked with Antony Beevor on his three most recent books. Read more This book is a good introduction for anyone who intends to read Life and Fate , because it provides background on many of the themes that he would put into the novel. Battle of Stalingrad. Then the flames shot out, right into the sky. He survived the Stalinist purges, but frequently walked the edge of the precipice. I would have to write too much if I wanted to describe it. View all 15 comments. Grossman sent me a note saying I had been right after all. Lists with This Book. They run a few steps and then lie down. Conversely this book will be appreciated by anyone who enjoyed Life and Fate.

    Histories of hope in the first person Histories of hope in the first person Personal reflections on transition in the EBRD region About this book and its editor Andrey Kurkov is himself a child of the transition process: he was born in Leningrad, USSR, published his first novel two weeks before the end of the Soviet Union, and lives in Kiev, the capital city of an independent Ukraine. His work has been published around the world and translated into 32 languages, including English, French, German, Chinese and Japanese. Introduction General review of Ukrainian literature translations into English allows us to note certain tendencies from the very first glance; they are different from translation process of any other national literature, which is first of all explained by historical and political factors. In their turn, these factors defined the nature of translations strictly by geographic principle, i.e. English- language translations performed on the European continent and beyond. Still, we can objectively state that the latter dominate over the former. In our opinion, there are solid reasons for that, as it is in the United States of America, Canada and Australia that powerful scientific centres and Ukrainian studies institutions are located; those were established thanks to the efforts of Ukrainian intellectuals emigrating to these parts of the world after World War II.

He earned his doctorate in Slavic Languages and Literatures at UCLA, where he was mentored by our 2002 Greiss speaker, the late Michael Henry Heim. He went on to teach at UCLA, as well as at the University of St Andrews, Scotland, before turning to full-time translation, writing, and editing. His work has appeared in a long list of top-tier publications, including The Times Literary Supplement, The New Yorker, London Review of Books, and The Guardian.
