TRADE/WP.7/GE.1/2002/INF.5 (GERMANY) Standard for Apples and Pears FFV-01 Revision of the list of varieties Note of the rapporteur: · This document includes the comments received since the 47th meeting from NZ, LT, PL, BE, FI, ZA and DE. · Amendments to the document TRADE/WP.7/GE.1/2001/INF.2 appear hatched. · Varieties that are proposed for deletion because of a limited or no market importance are crossed out. · Varieties added (proposals made by different countries) to the list are typed in bold. · Concerning the colouring, russeting and sizing criteria, the amendments are highlighted by crossing out the current group and typing in bold the proposed new group. · In case of varieties that have produced a big number of mutants, which are marketed but not necessarily with their name indicated on the package, the name of the variety is followed by examples of mutants that are economically important. Groups of better coloured mutants that require a higher colour group are presented in a sub-column to the variety. · Trade names are marked with the trademark or the registered trademark sign and appear in the column of synonyms. Therefore, the trademarks inspected according to the standard must meet the requirements specified for the variety. The way of specifying the trademarks should be adapted to the general decision concerning trademarks. -2- ANNEX 1.
