1. Product description: Eliprodil, aslo known as SL-82,0715; is a NMDA antagonist. NMDA receptors are a key component in mediating glutamate-induced , and it is believed that NMDA antagonists would be neuroprotective after a or other . Eliprodil protects pyramidal neurons in hippocampal slices from hypoxic/ischemic damage. Eliprodil stimulates CNS myelination, may be a new prospect for multiple sclerosis.

2. CoA, QC data, SDS, and handling instruction SDS and handling instruction, CoA with copies of QC data (NMR, HPLC and MS analytical spectra) can be downloaded from the product web page under “QC And Documents” section. Note: copies of analytical spectra may not be available if the product is being supplied by MedKoo partners. Whether the product was made by MedKoo or provided by its partners, the quality is 100% guaranteed.

Product data sheet

7. Bioactivity Biological target: Eliprodil(SL-820715) is a non-competitive NR2B-NMDA receptor antagonist(IC50=1 uM).

In vitro activity Under both culture conditions, addition of 10(-6) M eliprodil did not modify significantly the total number of either microtubule associated protein-2-positive neurons or MBP-positive oligodendrocytes. However, eliprodil induced a twofold (p < 0.01) increase in myelination when added to B-S medium, and a 4.7-fold (p < 0.0001) increase when added to D medium.

In vivo activity Newman-Keuls follow-up tests demonstrated that the ethanol-exposed rats treated with 5 mg/kg eliprodil committed statistically significantly fewer errors compared to ethanol subjects treated with vehicle.
