Graduate and Professional Bulletin 2000 • 2003 U Niversity of Pittsburgh
TABLE OF CONTENTS University of Pittsburgh GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL BULLETIN 2000 • 2003 U NIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH USING THIS BULLETIN Students who are interested in or accepted to any of the University of Pittsburgh’s graduate or professional programs other than those leading to the first-professional degrees offered by the University (MD, JD, LLM, PharmD, or DMD) will find useful most of the sections of this bulletin. Descriptions of the University, its regulations, and its services are included in the sections prior to the program-specific information in the Schools, Departments, and Programs section of the bulletin. Students interested in first-professional programs (MD, JD, LLM, PharmD, or DMD) can ignore much of the bulletin prior to the First-Professional Programs section, but should familiarize themselves with the general information on the University, as well as the section on Campus Facilities & Student Services, and the University-wide policies detailed in Rights and Responsibilities. The Schools of Medicine, Law, Dental Medicine, and Pharmacy appear in the Schools, Departments, and Programs section for programs leading to the graduate and professional advanced degrees as well as in the First-Professional Programs section since these schools offer both types of programs. Faculty are listed by their department or program at the end of the school. Students should note that the listings of requirements and procedures for admissions, registration, and other information listed in the sections prior to the more program-specific information provided in the Schools, Departments, and Programs section of this bulletin represent the minimum requirements and basic procedures. Students should consult the information on their specific school, program, and department for detail on additional or stricter requirements and procedures. -

One of the primary pharmacological treatments for anxiety and depression is the antidepressant fluoxetine (Flx). Maternal stress, depression, and Flx exposure are known to effect neurodevelopment of the offspring; however, their combined effects have been scarcely studied. In this thesis, we examine the combined effects of maternal stress during pregnancy and perinatal exposure to Flx on the behaviour and the biochemical outcomes of mice as adults. -
Surname Index, Vol. 41-50 (1980-1989)
Surname Index to Volumes 41-50 The Colorado Genealogist ©2013 Colorado Genealogical Society Surname Index for Volumes 41-50 Introduction This index was scanned from the annual surname indexes published each year in The Colorado Genealogist using a ScanSnap scanner which had OCR technology overlaid on the original images of the scanned pages. Every attempt has been made to obtain an accurate “reading” of the information. There may still be errors in the transfer. Since each year had its own index and there were different editors, some of the indexes have a surname for every name and some have only one surname and then list all first names under it. Be aware of this when searching. All of the original indexes used the spellings that appeared in the original quarterly publications, some of which may have contained spelling or typographical errors. A prudent searcher will try various spellings of the surnames being searched. Searching Hints •This is a searchable pdf document and uses the same searching tools you would find in your pdf reader, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. •Begin by typing in a surname only. You may have to search on a page for the given name, like you would in a printed index. Index Volume 41 (1980) . Index to the Case Files of the AJDC Emigration Service, Prague Office, 1945-1950
Index to the Case Files of the AJDC Emigration Service, Prague Office, 1945-1950 This index provides the names of clients served by the AJDC Emigration Service in Czechoslovakia in the years immediately following the end of World War II. It represents the contents of boxes 1-191 of the AJDC Prague Office Collection, held at the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes, Prague. The JDC Archives received a set of digital files of this collection in 2019 via the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum with the Institute’s agreement. The index was created thanks to a group of JDC Archives Indexing Project volunteers and staff. Users of this index are encouraged to try alternate spellings for names (e.g., Ackerman/Ackermann; Lowy/Loewy; Schwartz/Schwarz/Swarc/Swarz). Note that women’s surnames may or may not include the suffix -ova. The “find” feature (PC: ctrl+F; Mac: command+F) may be used to search for names listed in the Additional Name(s) column that may be separated from their alphabetical order. As case files contain private personal information, they are not open to the public. However, family members may request copies of the documents via our online Request Information form.
