While we will enjoy our morning coffee or juice and a croissant in the bar, the instructors will present us the program. After the welcome we will board the raft and cross the emerald Soča river. On the right bank of the river we will enter the Soča Fun Park and under the auspices of instructors we will face a two-hour adventure among the treetops. Obstacles in the adventure park will be overcome at a height of 2 to 10 m above the ground. In the end, we will try the "descent of courage" – we will return to the left bank along a 40 m height and 300 m long zip-line. After the experience, we will have a lunch. After lunch we will go with bike through the more than 1000 years old settlement Solkan (first mentioned in 1001). We will see the Solkan railway bridge, part of the so-called Bohinj Railway line Jesenice - Nova Gorica. The route of the railway line Nova Gorica – Bled was especially important during the World War I. In that period, the key role in the railway track Trieste – Vienna was played by the Solkan bridge that connects the left and right banks of the Soča River and is the bridge with the largest stone arch in the world. It is 220 meters long. We will than visit Villa Bartolomei, restoration exhibitions of Nova Gorica Museum and gardens, villas Lenassi and their park, villas Puppi, Paniaco, Manin and the residues of the mansion "Palač” (palace). We will go through the old square – the Jože Srebrnič square and the old, narrow streets in the centre of Solkan. Afterwards, we will drive to the Kromberk Castle, where we visit the castle, park and castle exhibition. From Kromberk we will head towards the youngest town, Nova Gorica. We will visit Kostanjevica with its monastery, monastic library Stanislav Škrabec, the tomb of the Bourbons dynasty and the monastery garden, where every spring the Bourbon roses flourish. From Kostanjevica there is a wonderful view of both Nova Gorica and Gorizia. We will than descend to the train station and visit the museum "National borders in the Goriška region from 1945 to 2004." We will take a look at the Europe Square, where the celebration at the entry of Slovenia into the European Union was held. The common square has become a new symbol of conurbation of the two towns, as well as a symbol of demarcation elimination and symbol of European integration. In Nova Gorica we will cross the border to arrive to the Italian Gorizia and, accompanied by a castle lady and a knight, we will climb up to the medieval Castle of Gorizia, from where a nice view over Gorizia opens. We will learn about the middle ages, help the knight with dressing and in the end try to combat in the Knights' castle fight for the hand of castle lady, wearing medieval clothes. In the afternoon hours, after the visit to Gorizia castle, we will return home. ProAktiv Sport d.o.o., Cesta IX.
