We would be very pleased about your participation! www.alpinesicherheit.at A Press report 2013 . Terrific alpine weekend with many exhibitors and record attendance at the alpine fair and the alpine forum! At 130 stands more than 10.000 visitors could get information directly from the manufacturer about the latest trends and developing’s for more safety on the mountains. In fully booked workshops visitors updated their emergency-knowledge and practiced the case of emergency. Alpine forum: the voluntary commissions for avalanche rescue are well prepared for the coming winter, but an element of risk always remains because an avalanche is never predictable. Also in the future the commissions for avalanche rescue are the institution who assesses the local avalanche situation. This is the unanimous opinion of the alpine forum, to which the “Österreichisches Kuratorium für Alpine Sicherheit” had invited at this weekend in Innsbruck. “The system of the commission for avalanche rescue is really not perfect. But there is nothing better“, says Ernst Schöpf, the mayor of Sölden. A new practice guide, who had been presented at the alpine forum, should make the work of the commission for avalanche rescue more objective and professional. Meeting point of the alpine scene – Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner, Lynn Hill & Adam Ondra The traditional meeting point of the alpine scene before and after the lectures of the mountaineering legends Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner and her husband Ralf Dujmovits. Also the climbing legend Lynn Hill gave a lecture about her famous climbing achievments as well as the world-beating climber Adam Ondra. This 20 year-old guy also participated at the Austrian Bouldering Championship which took place at the alpine fair for the first time. The Österreichisches Kuratorium für Alpine Sicherheit thanks all parties, all exhibitors, lectors, workshop directors and all visitors. You have made this alpine weekend 2013 to something really special. We also wish to thank all alpine institutions, who support this event and who create a special atmosphere. B Visitors 2013 .
