Who We Train WHO WE TRAIN The Euroleague Basketball Institute-Master derives from a previous post-degree program the Ca’ Foscari University had promoted from 2007 to 2009 in partnership with Euroleague Basketball. With a total of 112 students from 29 different countries having joined the course in the previous editions, the EBI-Master disposes of a very solid organizational and educational background. Through the tools associated to e-learning, the EBI-Master features also the quality and flexibility that are likely to foster the participation of students coming from all over the world. Students will be able to learn and become acquainted with the methodologies and tools sport clubs and sport-related companies do implement for analyzing their respective markets and plan their strategies within an extremely globalized and international environment. The EBI-Master program aims at training various different profiles operating in sports: General Managers, Federation and League representatives, Marketing Managers of sport clubs; Communication Managers of sport clubs; sport arena and event managers; marketing managers working for companies that are providing sport-related products. HOW WE TRAIN relevant scenarios and developments affecting the sport The EBI-Master lasts for one year. Students are obliged to business; interaction with the media; arena marketing. WHEN AND WHERE WE TRAIN The EBI-Master is developed through an e-learning platform to be used both online and offline. The classes will be staged as follows: the first session in Barcelona at the Euroleague Basketball Headquarters; the second session will be held in Istanbul as this is the venue where Euroleague Basketball will be staging the 2012 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four; the third and final session will be organized at the premises of the Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. Absences are not to exceed 20% of the EBI-Master program and will have to be verified through the students’ log-ins to the teaching platform plus their attendance to the various academic classes and the various activities foreseen during the e-learning phase. WHO TRAINS YOU The teaching staff is responsible for the tuition program and the general coordination of the EBI-Master program. DEADLINES AND FINAL ENROLLMENT Candidates have to apply strictly before the final deadline which is set for next January 31, 2012 by downloading and filling in the official application form and the English test available at www.euroleague.net/ebi Having gone through that, applicants will have to submit to Ca’ Foscari Formazione e Ricerca, Dorsoduro 3858, 30123 Venezia, ITALY, a series of documents and namely: A CV; A passport photo; A copy of their passport or ID; A motivational letter; After a careful evaluation of all applications received, the final results will be communicated via e-mail on February 3, 2012. TUITION FEES AND PAYMENT METHODS Tuition fees stand at €5,000, this amount is to be paid by installment with a first tranche of €2,500 to be settled no later than next February 10, 2012 and a second installment of €2,500 as well to be wired by next April 30, 2012 at the latest. The fees include: Participation in the EBI-Master program; Accommodation in Istanbul (10-13 May) during the 2012 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four; Attendance to the 2012 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four. Participants will bear all additional costs eventually descending from their enrollment in the Master program. Tuition fees for Former Students is calculated applying the difference between the present tuition fees, €5,000 and the tuition fees already paid in the attended edition.     Ausgabe 16 August 2010 3,50 € DBBDBB-Journal-Journal DBB-Damen und Herren im Sommer 2010 Editorial Liebe Leserinnen und Leser des DBB-Journals, Es waren in mehrfacher Hinsicht heiße Tage in Hamburg bei der ersten FIBA U17 Weltmeisterschaft der Jungen. Nicht nur die konstant an die 40 Grad gehenden Temperaturen in der Sporthalle Hamburg, nein, auch die Vorstel- lungen der 16- und 17-jährigen Youngster aus aller Welt verdienten das Prädikat „heiß“. Die USA gewannen letztlich hochverdient, weil sie athletisch nicht zu stoppen waren, aber auch Teams wie Polen, Kanada oder Litauen begeisterten die Zuschauer. Die DBB-U17 hatte einen super Start und vertrat Deutschland ganz hervorragend. Mehr dazu im Innenteil dieses Journals. Beide A-Nationalmannschaften spielen in diesem Journal naturgemäß die Hauptrolle, werden ausführlich vorgestellt und blicken vielen spannenden Spielen in Deutschland und auf internationalem Parkett entgegen. Wir prä- sentieren auch die Gegner der Testspiele, in der EM-Qualifikation und bei der Weltmeisterschaft. Näher befasst haben wir uns mit Dirk Nowitzki und Ademola Okulaja. Wenn Sie diese Zeilen lesen, sind schon einige Jugend- Europameisterschaften mit deutscher Beteiligung vorüber. Wir informieren sie über die kontinentalen Titelkämpfe der U20-Damen und -Herren sowie der U18-Jungen. Eine deutsche U17-Mädchen-Mannschaft nimmt in diesen Tagen an den ers- ten „Youth Olympic Games“ in Singapur teil, die Berlinerin Lena Gohlisch durfte sogar die Olympische Flamme am Brandenburger Tor entzünden (Foto). Was deren Trainerin Gundula Laabs sich mit ihrem Team vorgenom- men hat, erfahren Sie ebenso wie den Gewinn der Silbermedaille für die Rolli-Damen bei der WM in Birmingham. Wir nennen den Gewinner des Manfred-Ströher-Medienpreises 2009 und haben Peter George gefragt, was er eigentlich macht.
