Jani Kozina, Saša Poljak Istenič, Blaž Komac, Green creative environments: Contribution to sustainable urban and regional … DOI: https: //doi.org/10.3986/AGS.7030 UDC: 911.375:502.131.1 711.2:502.131.1 COBISS: 1.01 Green creative environments: Contribution to sustainable urban and regional development ABSTRACT: The aim of this paper is to provide a theoretical and conceptual introduction for the Special Issue on the role of green creative environments in sustainable urban and regional development. The idea is based on the assumption that concepts of creativity mostly address economic issues and to a lesser extent social issues, while green concepts predominantly deal with environmental aspects. Therefore, we lack a de eper insight into the interrelations between creative and green environments in urban and regional development. This special issue addresses this research gap through investigating 1) the residential pref - erences of the creative class in city-regional, urban and rural settings, 2) participatory urbanism as a tool for creative interventions in urban planning, and 3) the importance of green amenities as spatial attrac - tion factors for small creative actors. We argue that green creative environments can contribute to sustainable urban and regional development. FP7 BeWater D4.3: Four River Basin Adaptation Plans 168 Preface Climate change projections for the Mediterranean region estimate an increase in water scarcity and drought episodes, as well as more frequent floods and other extreme weather events . There is a high likelihood that these events will evoke substantial socio-economic losses and negative environmental impacts if no action is taken to support territories’ adaptation efforts. Furthermore, changes in population and land use, such as urban expansion or the abandonment or intensification of agriculture, also affect the response of territories to these events. In this context, sustainable water management strategies are urgently needed as they will enhance the resilience of socio-ecological systems, referring both to society and the environment. Current water management practices focus on the river basin level as the natural geographical and hydrological unit. Resilient water management strategies focusing on the river basin can respond to pressures within this unit in an appropriate way, while trying to minimize disruptions to the socio- ecological systems.

    POVRATNE DOBE VELIKIH IN MALIH PRETOKOV ZA MERILNA MESTA DRŽAVNEGA HIDROLOŠKEGA MONITORINGA POVRŠINSKIH VODA Sektor za analize in prognoze površinskih voda Urad za hidrologijo in stanje okolje November 2013 Agencija Republike Slovenije za okolje POVRATNE DOBE VELIKIH IN MALIH PRETOKOV Ve čina hidroloških procesov v naravi se zgodi naklju čno, zato je uporaba verjetnostne teorije in matemati čne statistike v hidrologiji neizogibna za reševanje hidroloških problemov in za boljši opis hidroloških procesov. Verjetnost nastopa dolo čenega pojava predstavlja eno izmed najpomembnejših analiz hidroloških podatkov, kjer na podlagi predhodnih dogajanj napovedujemo dogodke v prihodnosti. Vsak napovedan dogodek (pretok) pa ima dolo čeno verjetnost nastopa. Zaradi enostavnosti in lažjega razumevanja v praksi verjetnost nastopa prikazujemo z njeno recipro čno vrednostjo, to je povratno dobo dogodka. Povratna doba je ocena časovnega intervala med dogodki. Pretok s povratno dobo 10 let je koli činska ocena pretoka, ki se v povpre čju pojavi enkrat na 10 let. Pomembno je poudariti, da je pojav dogodka slu čajen, saj se v kronološkem smislu dogodki ne pojavljajo vsakih 10 let, ampak pri čakujemo, da se bo dogodek pojavil 10- krat v 100 letih, ali v povpre čju vsakih 10 let. Povratne dobe smo izra čunali za najve čje letne pretoke (letne visokovodne konice – Qvk) in najmanjše male letne srednje dnevne pretoke (Qnp). Izra čun je narejen za lokacije merilnih mest državnega hidrološkega monitoringa površinskih voda z nizom podatkov vsaj 10 let (slika 1, preglednica 1). V izra čunih so upoštevana razpoložljiva obdobja podatkov do vklju čno leta 2010. Za ra čunanje povratnih dob smo uporabili Pearson III in Log Pearson III porazdelitveni funkciji, ki sta v hidrološki praksi najpogosteje uporabljeni metodi.
