Broadcasting Authority September 1992 - August 1993 SECRETARY FOR RECREATION AND CULTURE: Mr President, I have much pleasure in laying the annual report of the Broadcasting Authority for the year ending 31 August 1993 before the Council today. The year under report marked a milestone in the development of Hong Kong’s broadcasting industry. The first subscription television licence in Hong Kong was granted to Wharf Cable Limited on 1 June 1993. As of today, Wharf Cable is providing 10 channels with one more channel to be put on air next Monday. This new TV
