Toll rate information: TRAIL When the opens, motorists will pay the same rate as charged throughout the NTTA system. As of July 2013, the rate is 16.2 cents per mile. An additional 4 cents per mile will be charged PARKWAY on the northern eight miles to pay for additional amenities, including landscaping, lighting, aesthetic enhancements and a reduced speed limit, which were added at the request of the city of Fort Worth.

About the NTTA: The North Texas Tollway Authority is authorized by the State of Texas to acquire, construct, maintain, repair and operate turnpike projects in the North Texas region. By law, a nine-member board oversees the work of the NTTA. Two board members are selected from the commissioners’ courts of the following counties: Collin, , Denton and Tarrant. The ninth member is appointed by the governor. The NTTA is separate from the Texas Department of Transportation.

Revenue generated by the NTTA is only used for projects in the North Texas region. The NTTA is a non-budgeted (state) organization that relies on revenues generated from its transportation facilities: , President George Bush Turnpike, Tollway, Addison Airport Toll Tunnel, Lewisville Lake Toll Bridge, Mountain Creek Lake Bridge and the Chisholm Trail Parkway.

The NTTA is able to raise capital for construction projects through the issuance of turnpike revenue bonds. NTTA toll projects are not a part of the state highway system and receive no direct tax funding. Tolls are collected to repay debt and to operate and maintain the roadways.

Enter and/or exit the Chisholm Trail Parkway Chisholm Trail Parkway will extend from west of Fort Worth’s central at the following locations: business district south to Cleburne. I-30 near Summit Ave. McPherson Blvd. No toll booths on the Chisholm Trail Parkway.
