3. COMPOSITION OF THE TEAM

All the delegations will be composed by a maximum of 4 elements, as reported on the invitation sent via Military Attaché.

4. CONDITIONS OF STAY

During their staying in the Ex. area Foreign Troops will be guests of the from 28 to 06 of July 2017. Board and lodging will be at the expense of the Alpine Troops Command, while extra expenses, including telephone, additional drinks, laundry, etc., are to be paid by the single consumers. Specific needs (such as Ramadan’s period or other personal and cultural habits) have to be communicated to our POC before the arrival of the Delegation in and in any case with adequate advance notice. Travelling expenses from each nation to the points of arrival (, Treviso or Venice Airports in case of flight) are on charge of each participating delegation.

5. MEDICAL SUPPORT Alpine Troops Command will take care of first aid medical support at the Ex. sites; further costs incurred for medical support (hospitalizations, surgical operations or special treatments, repatriation in case of illness or accidents) are to be borne by the participants.

6. TRAVEL TO THE EX. AREA Alpine Troops Command will be on charge for the internal transportations from the above mentioned POAs to destination and within the competition venues, in particular:  transportations from and to the staging area to 5 Towers for the daily training;  transportations from the above mentioned Airports to the staging area and return. In case of arrival by train, the closer Railway Stations are located in Brunico – Brunech (BZ) or Cortina d’Ampezzo (BL). Any other specific need regarding places of arrival has to be communicated in advance to the POC of Alpine Troops Command allowing this Command to organize the specific transports. Distances by car from main HUBs (Airports) to Alpine Troops Command Post located in Corvara in Badia (BZ):  from Verona Airport: 213 km;  from Venezia Airport: 174 km;  from Treviso Airport:162 Km.

7. ACCOMODATION All the personnel will be hosted in terms of board & lodging into our military bases or barracks located in BRUNICO OR CORVARA/ARABBA.

8. CUSTOMS FORMALITIES NO WEAPON must be brought to Italy to participate to the Exercise.

9. CLIMBING EX. TECHNICAL DETAILS Task: climb single or multi-pitch routes both classic and modern; the routes to climb have grades up to VI + UIAA. Requirements: personnel taking part to the climbing exercise must be able to climb multi – pitch routes grades III UIAA and single pitch grades V UIAA.

10. WEATHER CONDITIONS During the period of the Exercise, normally temperature can range from 10° to 35°; furthermore, is common to have strong storms characterized by a high density. In general terms, weather can shift from sunny to stormy in a very short time.

11. UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT The participating elements are asked to be in uniform (combat uniform – summer dress) during their staying on the scheduled events. During climbing activities personnel will use the national military uniform; for equipment it is necessary mountaineering gear to climb multi-pitch routes. We kindly request the delegations to bring one national flag (indicative measures: 1 x 1.5 mts.).

12. FURTHER INFORMATION The invitation to take part to the Exercise has been sent by the LOC - Alpine Troops Command through the diplomatic channel (Military Attaché of the respective country in Italy or abroad); before sending the final agreement of participation it is recommended to enter in contact with the above mentioned Military Attaché in charge for Italy, in order to coordinate the participation of the mission and the permanence in Italy. In terms of military status, participants must necessarily be military personnel on active duty in the Armed forces of their respective country. The organizer will provide further and more precise information to participants, mainly about the venues of accommodation, as soon as the entry format has been received. Annex “C” CHIEF OF DELEGATION COMMITMENT

In strict compliance with applicable MOU/Technical Agreements, I, the undersigned Chief of the Delegation, hereby officially confirm that all the members representing my nation in the event are on active duty in my nation’s Armed Forces.

I understand that sanctions may be imposed against my nation, my mission, my team, individual subjects, or myself for violation of this provision; in this sense, I declare that I did understand the following prescriptions:

1. The Chief of Mission is responsible for the behavior of his team in terms of general discipline. He shall ensure that members of his mission respect the rules and directives prescribed organizers of the Exercise. The respect of schedules is particularly important as they form the basis for the effective conduct of the event and eventual meetings, ceremonies, etc. etc.. Instances of indiscipline or poor behavior will be handled by competent authorities.

2. The Chief of Mission shall also enforce the rules concerning behavior and dress during the event; he plays an important role in promoting the correct spirit among his mission, represented by friendly attitude towards other missions, courtesy towards organizers and general fair-play.

3. Any political or religious action during the event, in particular the dissemination of propaganda documents, pictures, brochures, reviews, etc., is strictly forbidden. Any contravention shall result the exclusion of the mission.
