THE ENGINEERING DUAL DEGREE PROGRAM (EDDP) A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN BUTLER UNIVERSITY AND THE PURDUE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY AT INDIANAPOLIS WWW.BUTLER.EDU/ENGINEERING Butler University Purdue School of Engineering & Technology, IUPUI The Engineering Dual Degree Program is housed in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Butler University. The goals of the Engineering Dual Degree Program are to provide a graduate with 1) a strong liberal educational background from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Butler University, 2) a full major in one or more of the natural sciences, mathematics, and/or economics from Butler University, and 3) a degree in engineering from the Purdue School of Engineering at Indianapolis. Two Degrees – Two Schools – One Program THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE EDDP • Internships are an important part of the educational experience, and at least one internship is required. • EDDP provides a diverse educational experiences leading to a wide range of career opportunities with a highly successful placement rate for graduates. • Students have access to three career centers. 1. Butler, 2. IUPUI, & 3. Purdue @ West Lafayette • The average years to graduation by EDDP students is 5.05 years. • Students in the program have multiple advisors: an EDDP advisor, a Butler Major advisor, and an IUPUI Engineering advisor. • Individual advising occurs at least once per semester.
