THE YANKS HAVE CROSSED THE WIED RIVER HT THE SOUTHEASTERN PART OF THE POCKET AT 6 PLAGES ON A 14 MILE FRONT. RUSSIA: MARSHALL KONEV'S TANKS AND INFANTRY ARE POURING THROUGH A GREAT GAP IN THE NAZI LINES IN UPPER SILESIA AFTER SWEEPING AROUND OPPEIN FROM TrtO SIDES.
