Several tourists have vanished on the beaches of the Channel Coast. Infamous inspectors Machin and Malfoy soon gather that these mysterious disappearances take place in Slack Bay. There lives a community of fishermen. Among them evolves a curious family, the Brufort, lead by the father “The Eternal”, who rules as best as he can on his prankster bunch of sons, especially the impetuous Ma Loute. Towering high above the bay stands the Van Peteghems’ mansion. Every summer, this degenerate bourgeois family stagnates in the villa, not without mingling during their leisure hours with the local people. As starts a peculiar love story between Ma Loute and the young and mischievous Billie Van Peteghem, confusion and mystification will descend on both families, shaking their foundations. KATZ By the director of Cheap Thrills (Audience Award SXSW) Written by Evan Katz and Macon Blair (Green Room, Blue Ruin) Produced by David Lancaster (Drive, Nightcrawler, Whiplash ) Cast to be announced in Cannes Based on Dave Zeltserman’s eponymous novel After serving time for the attempted murder of a District Attorney, disgraced former cop Joe Denton returns home looking for redemption. An embarrassment to his parents, abandoned by his ex-wife, it seems as if things can’t get much worse. But then Joe finds himself trapped in the mess he left behind, in the crossfire between a crooked sheriff, the vengeful DA, and a mafia kingpin who knows too much. Delightfully suspenseful, blackly comic, “Small Crimes” follows Joe’s desperate and misguided attempts to extract himself from this nightmare, only to dig himself into a deeper — and bloodier — hole. REACTIONS ON ChEAP THRillS “A thoroughly nasty piece of work, playing like the mutant offspring of Harold Pinter and Quentin Tarantino, yet fueled by its own distinctive strain of darkly comic misanthropy.” VARIETY “A savage banquet, with wickedness on tap. Katz is sure to give us a whole lot of darkness before the dawn.” LITTLE WhiTE LIES “Mind-blowing! Nothing short of iconic.” THE LOS ANGELES TIMES “I just spent 95mins laughing, freaking out & generally shouting ‘fuck no!!!’ at Cheap Thrills.” @GARETH EVANS PRODUCED BY RUMBLE FILMS (EYE IN THE SKY, MESSAGE FROM THE KING) AND PARADISE CITY (COLD IN JULY, BLUE RUIN) USA | BUdget 4,5M USD | DELIVERY Q1 2017 | SHooting date JULY 21st NEW SCRIPT AVAILABLE IN PRE PRODUCTION DIAS JonatHAN EnglisH By the director of Ironclad By the Car Stunt Supervisor of Spectre, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Fast & Furious 6 and Bourne Ultimatum By the Stunt Coordinator of 3 Days To Kill, District 13: Ultimatum, Underworld, The Raven IN PRE PRODUCTION NEW SCRIPT AVAILABLE DIAS A FILM BY Jonathan English By the director of Ironclad ATHENS, present day: crippled by Greece’s economic crisis, the city faces one of the worst crime waves in Europe. Gangs of armed men pour into the country to take advantage of the chaos and a series of violent robberies rocks Greece to its core. A new police motorbike unit, DIAS, is created by the government. Its specialty is to deploy four heavily armed officers to any crime scene in under one minute. THEO, a young Athenian who’s just lost his job, decides to join up. Thrilled by the chase and wanting to make a difference, he is quickly thrown into a whirlwind of action and violence and becomes a pivotal player for his unit. Yet with each new arrest, the enraged gangs plan a series of even deadlier crimes that will push Dias to its breaking point, until Dias itself, becomes their target. This film is inspired by the real DIAS motorcycle squad that patrols the streets of Athens since 2010. Shooting Date: May 9th Cast to be announced in Cannes Mid 1980’s. North of Italy not far from the Garda Lake. The sensitive and cultivated 17-year-old Elio, an only child of the American-Italian Perlman family, is facing another lazy summer at his parents’ villa when Oliver arrives. Oliver is an academic who comes to help Elio’s father, an eminent professor and specialist in Greek culture, with his work. The visitor will be their guest for the next six weeks during the summer. A charming 24-year-old American scholar, Oliver is breezy, spontaneous, handsome, and he’s the kind of person who charms everyone he meets. The meeting of these two young men sets in motion the danger of an unbridled adolescent passion in the setting of the beautiful and languid Italian countryside. “A pitch-perfect evocation of heady romance and passion.” THE GUARDIAN “It is an exceptionally beautiful book (...) this novel is hot.
