The Moghal Empire Xvi PREFACE Published in the Original Text and in Translation
The Moghal Empire xvi PREFACE published in the original text and in translation. We need better integration of the Indian and European sources by someone who reads Rajasthani, Persian, French, and Dutch, for example. For such new work our best hope lies in the originality of young historians from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Finally, my most important goal is to offer a one-volume synthesis that will be comprehensible to the non-specialist. I hope that this book can be read with profit by anyone interested in this most fascinating of historical periods. If successful, the volume should create a context for further reading and study. In writing this volume I have become deeply conscious of my debt to colleagues in this field. I am especially grateful to Irfan Habib, Ashin Das Gupta, Satish Chandra, Tapan Raychaudhuri, and M. Athar Ali for their inspired scholarship and leadership in Mughal history over the past decades. Peter Hardy and Simon Digby have provided warm support and encouragement for my work over the years. A more immediate debt is to my two fellow editors, Gordon Johnson and Christopher Bayly, for their patience and their criticism. I especially wish to thank Muzaffar Alam for his incisive comments on an earlier draft. I have also benefited from discussions with Catherine Asher, Stewart Gordon, Bruce Lawrence, Om Prakash, Sanjay Subrahmanyam, and Ellen Smart. And, as always, I must thank my wife and children for their continuing love and understanding. 1 INTRODUCTION The Mughal empire was one of the largest centralized states known in pre-modern world history. -

Annual Report 2019-2020 Presentation
0 1 INCEPTION The IISU grew out of the International College for Girls (ICG) which was established in 1995, as a college affiliated to the University of Rajasthan. Since then, ICG has crossed many significant milestones in its journey towards excellence in higher education. Besides receiving numerous other accolades, it was accredited A+ by the NAAC of UGC in 2005. It was also identified as a Model College by the state government in 2006 and thereafter it was conferred the status of Autonomous College in 2007 by the U.G.C. It was further recognized as a College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) by the UGC in 2010. In a national survey conducted by AC- Nielsen-ORG MARG, also in 2010 for the India Today magazine, ICG was rated as the topmost college in the state in Arts, Science and Commerce streams. Ranked among the top 30 institutions of the country in this survey, the College became a symbol of quality education and women‟s empowerment. The institution while working as an Autonomous College was declared as Deemed-to-be-a-University by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, vide its notification dated 2nd Febraury, 2009, issued under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. This, more than an achievement, was a reaffirmation of our faith in the quality and innovation, in research and academics taken up at the institution right from its inception in 1995. Soon after becoming Deemed University in the name and style of „The IIS University‟, in a review conducted by the „Tandon Committee‟ constituted by the MHRD, it was recognized for its competence and strength and was placed in category 1, along with the 37 other Deemed-to-be-Universities of Category 1 across the country. -
Historical Perspective of Rajput Society
SOCIO - HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE OF RAJPUT SOCIETY DR. YASHPALSINH V. RATHOD At. Dhamboliya Dist. Arvvali (GJ) INDIA Maharaja Shree Ranjorsinh has identified Kshatriya Pedigree, as per him 16 from Sun, 4 from Moon, 2 from Nagvanshi, 3 from Rushivanshi and 11 from Agnivanshi are also Kshatriya. There are some assumptions for 36 Descent. But in sun vansh Rathod, Katchvaha, Sisodiya, Badgujar,Kathariya, Sikarval, Nikumbh and Rekvar are considered. European historian Easterson, Indian veda and cultural tradion indicates Rajputs are ancient Aaryajati. These gens are from Rajput and they had ruled India since vaidik period. That cast has provided bravely protection to our country, religion and culture. INTRODUCTION This article shows origin of Rajput society and their social, cultural, geographical, Economical and historical aspects. People from same cast who are living in different areas of Gujarat should know their Ancestor, their detail information is necessary today. Today’s young generation does not have proper information regarding their Descent.they should know their gotra and sub cast properly. They don’t believe in relation of brotherhood. If we ask question to any rauput youngster regarding their Descent and sub branch, that answer is not satisfactory. That’s why origin and historical detail study of Rathod Descent is required. Here detail information written of 36 Descent and their sub branch indicated in this article. Rathod Descent community is in majority in some areas of Gujarat, also in some part of the state there are Solanki, Chauhan, Parmar, Zala,Waghela etc… community are living.
