CANTON COMEBACK COMES UP SHORT IN HOME OPENER: The Canton Charge, powered by the NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers, saw a double-digit comeback effort fall short in a 120-118 defeat at the hands of the Long Island Nets at the Canton Memorial Civic Center on Saturday night. The Nets improved to 1-1 after grabbing their first win in franchise history while Canton fell to 0-2. Canton’s Quinn Cook led all scorers with 29 points to go along with five assists and two steals in 41 minutes. Justin Johnson netted 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting in 34 minutes. Kent State product Chris Evans scored 20 points with seven boards and two steals in 35 minutes. ROCKIN’ THE Q: The Cavs sold out all 41 regular season home games in 2015-16, the third time in franchise history the team has accomplished that feat (2009-10 and 2014-15). To date, including regular season (387) and playoffs (55), there have been 442 sellouts at The Q and 108 consecutive sellouts (regular season and playoff games only, dating back to 10/30/14).
