1914 1918 1920 2017 Christmas truce As men were away at war, Women’s life changed a lot. Battle of Passchendaele / Third battle of Ypres Many women took paid jobs outside the home for the first time. Battle of Arras Battle of Lieja Battle of Somme Loads of women took jobs in shops, offices and farms.
