Slupsk Special Economic Zone

The Slupsk Special Economic Zone (SSEZ), managed by the Pomeranian Regional Development Agency Joint Stock Company, is one of the most important tools supporting social-economical development in central part of . In its portfolio Zone has a wide offer of investment lands in West Pomerania Region of a total area of 658 hectares (572 ha within SSEZ as well as 86 ha in a so called patronage).

Companies operating within SSEZ, according to active permissions on running business activity in the zone, can utilize public aid in the form of income tax exemptions.

Majority of investors operating within SSEZ represents the SME’s sector (over 80% of projects are Polish ones), as well as international large companies from Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Canada, Luxemburg, Italy, , Norway, Switzerland, Sweden and USA. What is more, the recent investment projects carried out by zonal companies shows that there have been implemented many innovative solutions in production processes and in research & development field. Dominating sectors are: wood processing, furniture production, plastic processing, metal processing, food processing, electronics, automotive, storage services.

The Slupsk Special Economic Zone is an active partner of the Szczecinek Furniture Cluster (www.furniturecluster.pl) and the Szczecinek’s division of the Wood Industry Department of the University of Technology In (wpd.tu.koszalin.pl).

The Slupsk Technology Incubator was established at the zone (www.sit.slupk.pl) and is equipped with the specialized labs: renewable energy sources and automation, robotics and visual systems. Incubator offers a wide range of practical trainings and specialized consultancy services for entrepreneurs.
