Pomeranian Special Economic Zone

Includes 35 subzones located in 5 voivodships. The total area of zonal areas is 2246.2929 ha of which 564.1241 ha are areas in the province Pomeranian, 880.213 ha in the province Kujawsko-Pomorskie, 70.6768 ha in the province Wielkopolskie, 637.2176 ha is located in the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship, while 94.0614 ha is located in the Lubelskie Voivodship.

Słupska Economic Zonef a special economic zone located in the north-western part of , consists of 15 investment subzones in the Pomeranian Voivodship and the West Pomeranian Voivodship. The Pomeranian Agency for Regional Development, based in Słupsk, has been managing the zone since 1997. Słupsk Special Economic Zone covers lands with a total area of 816.7878 ha, located in the following cities: Słupsk, , , Szczecinek and Wałcz and the municipalities: Biesiekierz, , Pomorski, , Polanów, Słupsk and Tychowo.

Pomeranian Voivodeship – high potential for the development of road transport The capital of the region is Gdańsk – a city that together with Gdynia and forms the Tricity agglomeration. Gdańsk has almost half a million inhabitants, and the entire Tricity has nearly 800,000. The most important Pomeranian roads, in addition to the A1 motorway, are S6 and S7 expressways as well as national roads no. 6, 7, 20, 21, 22, 25, 55, 90, 91.

The railway network in the voivodeship is undergoing constant modernization The railway line 201 from Gdynia through Kościerzyna to Maksymilianów is the main railway line of the voivodeship. The works related to the construction of the second track and electrification will start already in 2020. One of the key projects of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe is the modernization of the thoroughfare between and the Tricity. The project will lead to the increase in the speed of freight trains to 100 km/h, and passenger trains to 140 km/h.
