    Implementation of the CSR Principles in the Czech Football Environment STUDIA SPORTIVA 2020 / 2 Implementation of the CSR Principles in the Czech Football Environment Vilém Kunz Faculty of Economic Studies, University of finance and administration, Prague Abstract: The goal of this article is especially to provide information about the current situation as it pertains to the application of CSR principles within the Czech football environment, both on the part of the exe- cutive bodies in Czech football (the Football Association of the Czech Republic – FACR and the League Football Association – LFA) and all the clubs participating in the top football competition in the Czech Republic. This article combines the conclusions from secondary data analysis, content analysis of web- sites (top managing bodies of Czech football and all participating clubs of the highest Czech football league) and the author’s own empirical investigation based on a series of semi-structured interviews. Keywords: Social responsibility in sport, football, the Football Association of the Czech Republic, the League Football Association, UEFA INTRODUCTION In recent years, more and more attention has been paid to the social responsibility of sport, both by the academic sphere and by the actors on the sports scene themselves. According to many experts (e.g. Babiak & Kihl, 2018; Hildebrandt, 2019; Ratten, 2011), professional sports clubs, like many other business entities, should strive to make corporate social responsibility (CSR) an integral part of their management processes and proactively develop their activities in this area. The ever-increasing commercialisation, media coverage and globalisation of the professional sport, as well as the intensification of demands from stakeholders, have greatly influenced the behaviour of many sports entities (Valeri, 2019).

The criteria will be reviewed in early 2021 in order that revised criteria can be issued in advance of the summer transfer window before the 2021/22 season. Please note that an individual’s personal and immigration history may be taken into account when their application is being considered. Please see the Glossary on page 12 for definitions of the terms used in this document. 1 The Scottish Football Association - Governing Body Endorsement Requirements for Men’s Football GOVERNING BODY ENDORSEMENT REQUIREMENTS GBE STATUS 1. A club must obtain a GBE from The Scottish FA before a migrant is permitted to undertake any employment duties for the club (including participation at training and in friendly matches). A migrant can register for a club without a GBE but, in order to play any football, he must have obtained a GBE, been assigned a Certificate of Sponsorship by that club and secured leave to remain under Tiers 2 or 5 of the PBS (subject to satisfying any other eligibility requirements of The Scottish FA and any competitions the club participates in). 2. A club can apply for a GBE for a migrant at any time during the Season. In order to apply for a GBE, a club must hold a valid Sponsor’s Licence under Tier 2 and/or Tier 5 of the PBS.
