The adverts feature Ada Hegerberg, Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba, Cristiano Ronaldo and amateur players and will run throughout the season to promote inclusion, diversity and accessibility in European Football with the motto "Everyone has the right to enjoy football, no matter who you are, where you're from, or how you play." More information on the campaign and on the advertisements can be found in the accompanying media release and on the campaign website: www.equalgame.com. Hapoel Beer-Sheva will look to maintain their winning streak at Turner Stadium as Lugano make their UEFA Europa League group stage debut in Group G. Previous meetings • This is the sides' first meeting and Lugano's first encounter with Israeli opposition. • In their only previous tie against a Swiss team, Hapoel were eliminated by Thun in the 2015/16 UEFA Europa League second qualifying round, drawing 1-1 at home then losing 2-1 in Switzerland. Form guide • Israeli champions Beer-Sheva have won all three of their European home games this season – in UEFA Champions League qualifying – scoring two goals in each: 2-1, 2-0, 2-1. • In nine European away matches to date, Lugano have earned just one win (W1 D2 L6) and scored only two goals; however, that lone victory came at Internazionale Milano in a 1-0 second-leg success in the 1995/96 UEFA Cup first round. • Beaten on away goals by Maribor in the UEFA Champions League play-offs, Beer-Sheva are back in the UEFA Europa League group stage for a second straight season, having made it to the round of 32 in 2016/17. • Third in Switzerland last term, Lugano – from the Italian-speaking Ticino canton – have been absent from UEFA competition since 2002/03 and have yet to feature in a group stage. Links and trivia • The journey from Lugano to Beer Sheva is around 2,750km. • On-loan Lugano midfielder Bálint Vécsei played alongside Beer-Sheva defender Mihály Korhut in his only two Hungary appearances so far, friendlies against Albania (1-0) and Kazakhstan (3-0) in June 2014. The coaches • Appointed Beer-Sheva coach in 2015, Barak Bakhar promptly steered the club to their first title in 40 years, and successfully defended that crown in 2016/17. A defender, he spent his playing heyday at Hapoel Kiryat Shmona, whom he later coached. • Pierluigi Tami took charge of Lugano for a second time in June 2017, the Italian-born defender having spent his entire professional career in Switzerland. Notably, he assisted Ottmar Hitzfeld during his spell as national coach. 3 Hapoel Beer-Sheva FC - FC Lugano Thursday 14 September 2017 - 21.05CET (22.05 local time) Match press kit Turner Stadium, Beer Sheva Team facts Hapoel Beer-Sheva FC Formed: 1949 Nickname: The Camels UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • None Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) League title: 4 (2017) Israeli Cup: 1 (1997) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2016/17: round of 32 (having transferred from UEFA Champions League play-offs) 2015/16: UEFA Europa League second qualifying round 2014/15: UEFA Europa League second qualifying round 2013/14: did not take part in UEFA competition 2012/13: did not take part in UEFA competition 2011/12: did not take part in UEFA competition 2010/11: did not take part in UEFA competition 2009/10: did not take part in UEFA competition 2008/09: did not take part in UEFA competition 2007/08: did not take part in UEFA competition Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 2-0 three times, most recently v Ludogorets 26/07/17, UEFA Champions League third qualifying round first leg • Biggest away win 0-2: Internazionale Milano v Hapoel 15/09/16, UEFA Europa League group stage • Heaviest home defeat 0-7: Hapoel v Barcelona 12/09/95, UEFA Cup first round first leg • Heaviest away defeat 10-0: Roda v Hapoel 02/10/97, UEFA Cup Winners' Cup first round second leg UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League • Biggest home win 2-0: Hapoel v Tirana 22/08/95, UEFA Cup preliminary round second leg • Biggest away win 0-2: Internazionale Milano v Hapoel (see above) • Heaviest home defeat 0-7: Hapoel v Barcelona (see above) • Heaviest away defeat 5-0: Barcelona v Hapoel 26/09/95, first round second leg FC Lugano Formed: 1908 Nickname: Bianconeri (Black-and-White) UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • None Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) League title: 3 (1949) Swiss Cup: 3 (1993) 4 Hapoel Beer-Sheva FC - FC Lugano Thursday 14 September 2017 - 21.05CET (22.05 local time) Match press kit Turner Stadium, Beer Sheva Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2016/17: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2015/16: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2014/15: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2013/14: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2012/13: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2011/12: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2010/11: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2009/10: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2008/09: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2007/08: did not take part in UEFA club competition Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 5-0: Lugano v Neman Grodno 18/08/93, UEFA Cup Winners' Cup preliminary round first leg • Biggest away win 0-1: Internazionale v Lugano 26/09/95, UEFA Cup first round second leg • Heaviest home defeat 1-3 twice, most recently v Real Madrid 29/09/93, UEFA Cup Winners' Cup first round second leg • Heaviest away defeat 3-0 three times, most recently v Ventspils 15/08/02, UEFA Cup qualifying round first leg UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win 4-0: Lugano v Jeunesse Esch 23/08/95, preliminary round second leg • Biggest away win 0-1: Internazionale v Lugano (see above) • Heaviest home defeat 1-3: Lugano v Legia Warszawa 15/09/71, first round first leg • Heaviest away defeat 3-0: Ventspils v Lugano (see above) 5 Hapoel Beer-Sheva FC - FC Lugano Thursday 14 September 2017 - 21.05CET (22.05 local time) Match press kit Turner Stadium, Beer Sheva Squad list Hapoel Beer-Sheva FC Current season All-time UCL UEL League UEL UEFA No. Player Nat.
