Si caratterizzò per la comparsa e lo sviluppo della vita giunta fino ai giorni nostri. GERMAN Paläozoisches Ära (Paläozoikum): Die älteste Ära des Äon Phanerozoikum (542 - 251 Ma.) unterteilt in die Perioden: Kambrium bis Perm. Charakterisiert durch die Entwicklung des Lebens wie wir diese heute kennen PORTUGUESE Paleozóico (Era): Era inferior do Éon Fanerozóico (542 - 250 milhões de anos) incluindo os sistemas Câmbrico, Ordovícico, Silúrico, Devónico, Carbonífero e Pérmico, caracterizada pelo aparecimento e desenvolvimento dos principais grupos biológicos actualmente existentes. GREEK Παλαιοζωικός αιώνας : Ο παλαιότερος αιώνας του Φανεροζωικού μεγααιώνα (542-250 εκ . χρ.) ο οποίος περιλαμβάνει έξι περιόδους (Κάμβριο , Ορδοβίσιο , Σιλούριο , Δεβόνιο , Λιθανθρακοφόρο και Πέρμιο ) και χαρακτηρίζεται από την «έκρηξη » της ζωής. IITALIAN Cenozoico (Era): Ultima era dell'eone Fanerozoico (da 65 milioni di anni ai giorni nostri) caratterizzata dall'espansione dei mammiferi e dall'orogenesi Alpina. GERMAN Känozoische Ära (Känozoikum): Die jüngste Ära des Äon Phanerozoikums (65 Ma. bis heute) unterteilt in die Perioden: Paleogen, Neogen, Quartär.
