(Serbian Government / ECHO) BULGARIA 19 May 2014: Bosnia and Herzegovina – Flood situation & EUCPM assistance SITUATION EUCPM and Bilateral Assistance • Following the heavy rains, flood waters have triggered more then 3 000 landslides in Bosnia- Herzegovina, which have buried houses and disturbed land mines laid during the war in the 1990s. Flood alerts are still in place in many areas of northern Bosnia • The official death toll is 19, with authorities warning this number may increase. • Assistance is being provided by Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Croatia, Montenegro, France, the Former Yugoslavian Republic of B O S N I A Macedonia and Romania. a n d • A UCP team has been deployed to CROATIA HERZEGOVINA Bosnia over the weekend to assist the authorities, facilitating the aid provided through the Civil Protection by the participating states.
