Peter won the German Karting Championship in 1998, the Volkswagen Lupo Cup title in 2002 and continued his touring car success by finishing runner-up in the SEAT Leon Supercopa series in 2004. He also won two races on a global stage in the WTCC in 2005-06 and has expanded his palate of considerable talent in sports cars and other touring car series since 2007. Since 2007, Peter has broadened his diverse skills by racing in numerous sports car and touring car series in Europe, including the WTCC, GT Open Prototype and Endurance Cup, and GT Masters and VLN. He has also remained instrumental in the development of newly released Sports Cars in the VW group, such as the Audi R8 GT3. Throughout his career, Peter has exuded a charisma and charm that draw in everyone he meets. The sport car manufacturer developed a solution for this together with the IoT startup PACE Telematics. Afterwards, they are able to complete the payment process within their car. “With cashless fueling, we want to offer comfortable and fast fueling to Porsche customers,” says Sven Maisenbacher, project lead of infotainment development at Porsche, “We’ve shown that the technology works. The next step’s goal is making the solution available to our customers.” Direct connection between car and gas station Through an integrated, digital interface within the car, an automatic connection is formed with the respective gas station system as soon as a Porsche driver stops at a gas station. After the authorization, the fueled gas can simply be payed via the display of the infotainment system. “Our flexible cloud platform is the technological foundation for this system, which can be used within an automobile setting in a straightforward manner thanks to its many programming interfaces.     ABT Sportsline 2021 – Press Release Week 33 70th victory for Team ABT Sportsline in the DTM Kelvin van der Linde has given Team ABT Sportsline its 70th victory in the DTM. Following his victories at Monza and Zolder, the championship leader also won Saturday’s race at the Nürburgring. After the first half of the season, the South African, who lives near Kempten, has a 33-point lead in the drivers’ championship. In the teams’ championship, ABT Sportsline is also at the top of the table after the first half of the 2021 DTM season. Saturday was a picture-perfect day for ABT Sportsline: Kelvin van der Linde secured pole position for the third time this season with a perfect qualifying lap and then celebrated a commanding victory. On the way, he only had to shake twice when late stoppers Timo Glock and Alex Albon put up a massive fight against the ABT driver. The South African stayed cool, grabbed the two opponents and, after crossing the finish line, ordered an ice cream from SAT.1 commentator Eddy Mielke, which was promptly served to him by colleague Andrea Kaiser at the podium ceremony. Walter Kolb accepted the trophy for the winning team. The 73-year-old pensioner from Isny had auctioned a seat at the pit stand of ABT Sportsline for the race at the Nürburgring by donating 6,000 Euros for the victims of the flood disaster in the region. The DTM was the first race event after the flood at the Nürburgring. Before the start of the race, children affected by the flood had visited the ABT Sportsline pit and were even allowed to hold the steering wheel of the eventual winning car in their hands before the race.

We can build on this.” The strong showing at Hockenheim began with a best time set by Nico Müller in the first free practice session on Friday. Accordingly, the Swiss was disappointed when he had to settle for tenth position on the grid in the rain on Saturday and eighth in the first of the two races. “Fortunately, I was able to provide exactly the right response on Sunday and in second place score a podium finish,” said the Swiss. “With three Audi drivers on podium, it was a great day for Audi and a great day for ABT.” Müller pulled off a lightning start on Sunday with which he improved from fourth to second position. Subsequently, he had to let René Rast pass, who drove to victory with a bold two-stop strategy, but Müller decided the duel against BMW driver Philipp Eng for second place in his favor, also thanks to a faster pit stop of his team.

JULIA WALTER | EDITORIAL „Der Breitensport wird künftig noch mehr in den Fokus der Arbeit des DMSB rücken.“ Liebe Motorsportfreude, seit rund 100 Tagen bin ich als Generalsekretärin des DMSB im Amt. In dieser Zeit durfte ich mich bereits mit vielen neuen Aufgaben vertraut machen und hatte auch schon Gelegenheit, einige neue Akzente zu setzen. Wie viele von Ihnen wissen, ist meine motorsportliche Heimat der Jugend- und Breitensport. Durch die Trennung des Profi- und Amateurbereichs wird in Zukunft genau dies der Schwerpunkt des DMSB e.V. sein. Meine Hauptaufgabe in den kommenden Monaten wird die Umsetzung der weitreichenden politischen Beschlüsse des DMSB-Präsidiums sein. Ob Wahlen zu den Fachausschüssen oder Ergebnisse der Roadshow (siehe Artikel auf Seite 14): Das Präsidium hat eine Menge Weichen gestellt. Unsere Aufgabe in der Geschäftsstelle in Frankfurt wird es nun sein, die Züge auf die richtigen Gleise zu stellen.
