Donau, August 18, 2020 – When the starting lights for the Nürburgring 24 Hours go out on September 26, Audi Sport wants to fight for the sixth overall victory with a strong line-up. Since the beginning of the customer racing program in 2009 the brand has already won the endurance classic five times with the GT3 sports car Audi R8 LMS. No other manufacturer was as successful in this era. “We have succeeded in shaping an era at the Nürburgring in just over a decade. At our twelfth start we now want to fight for our sixth overall victory,” says Chris Reinke, Head of Audi Sport customer racing. Like last year, the long-standing Audi Sport customer teams Car Collection Motorsport, Land-Motorsport and Phoenix Racing, together with the team from Audi Sport customer racing, are each entrusted with the deployment of one R8 LMS. In addition, the brand expects further entries by private teams in various classes. A total of twelve experienced professional drivers who compete for Audi in DTM, Formula E and customer racing share the three cockpits. -

After thousands of test kilometers including the recent test day at Le Mans, the new Audi R18 TDI is ready for its first race. At the 1000-kilometer race at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) on May 7, Audi Sport Team Joest will perform its “dress rehearsal” for the Le Mans 24 Hours. The racing debut of a new race car is always a very special event and Audi Sport has good experiences in this regard. Since 2000 every new sports prototype of the brand with the four rings has won its first race. In 2000, 2006 and 2009 Sebring in Florida (USA) was the venue of the respective debut victories of the R8, R10 TDI and R15 TDI models. The updated R15 TDI, internally designated as “R15 plus,” won its maiden race as well, at Le Castellet (France). Now Spa-Francorchamps is the track to see the debut of the latest LMP1 sports car made by Audi which turns the company’s ultra-lightweight technology into a visual experience and which is equipped with a new type of ultra-compact V6 TDI engine. -

Afterwards, they are able to complete the payment process within their car. “With cashless fueling, we want to offer comfortable and fast fueling to Porsche customers,” says Sven Maisenbacher, project lead of infotainment development at Porsche, “We’ve shown that the technology works. The next step’s goal is making the solution available to our customers.” Direct connection between car and gas station Through an integrated, digital interface within the car, an automatic connection is formed with the respective gas station system as soon as a Porsche driver stops at a gas station. After the authorization, the fueled gas can simply be payed via the display of the infotainment system. “Our flexible cloud platform is the technological foundation for this system, which can be used within an automobile setting in a straightforward manner thanks to its many programming interfaces. Press Release June 9, 2017 LMP1 preview Le Mans 24-Hours Porsche LMP Team faces hard fight for the overall victory Stuttgart. The countdown for the season highlight is almost at an end: Over 17th/18th June, Porsche will again fight for the crown jewels of endurance motor- sports in attempting to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans for a third consecutive year. The toughest competition on track is Toyota. The Japanese manufacturer has yet to win Le Mans. In 2016, Toyota retired in a dramatic finish just minutes before the end of the race with a technical failure and in 2017 competes with three cars against the two Porsche 919 Hybrid in the top LMP1-H class. Five overall winners in Porsche driver squad: Behind the wheel of the Porsche 919 Hybrid with start number 1 Neel Jani (33/CH), André Lotterer (35/DE) and Nick Tandy (32/GB) will alternate. The three drivers share a combined experience of 20 Le Mans starts and five overall victories. Jani (8 starts, 1 overall victory) is the only Le Mans title defender and reigning FIA World Endurance Champion in 2017 and is also the qualifying lap record-holder at Le Mans since 2015. Lotterer (8 starts, 3 overall victories) faces his first Le Mans race with Porsche after a successful career at Audi. For the second time, Tandy competes in the LMP1 class at the Sarthe. He raced there three times in GT and celebrated Por- sche's 17th overall victory as an LMP1 rookie in 2015. The crew of the sister car – Earl Bamber (26/NZ), Timo Bernhard (36/DE) and Bren- don Hartley (27/NZ) – shares a total of 17 Le Mans participations and two overall vic- tories. -

Audi Sport Team Land gewinnt das 45. ADAC 24h-Rennen am Nürburgring 28.05.2017 - Nordschleife. Erster Gesamtsieg beim legendären 24h-Rennen für Land-Motorsport. Das Audi Sport Team Land schreibt in der 45. Auflage des Langstreckenklassikers einen neuen Eifelkrimi mit Happy End. Connor De Phillippi/Christopher Mies/Markus Winkelhock und Kelvin van der Linde verlieren 90 Minuten vor Schluss die Führung im Audi R8 LMS mit der Startnummer 29 und erobern sich in der letzten Runde ihre Spitzenposition zurück. Das Schwesterauto mit der Startnummer 28 (De Phillippi/Mies/Kaffer/Haase) muss das Rennen vorzeitig in der Box beenden. Mit einer Bestzeit für die Startnummer 29 (De Phillippi/Mies/Winkelhock/van der Linde) begann der Auftakt zum 45. ADAC 24h-Rennen beim Training am Donnerstag. Kelvin van der Linde war mit 8:19,066 der schnellste Pilot im Starterfeld. Die Startnummer 28 (De Phillippi/Mies/Haase/Kaffer) belegte mit einer 8:27.955 die achte Position. Im folgenden ersten Qualifying standen für das Team Audi Sport Team Land die Plätze 4 (#29) und 19 (#28) auf dem Zeitenmonitor. Zwölf Plätze waren noch für die Teilnahme am Top-30- Qualifying zu vergeben. Die Startnummer 28 hatte sich bereits im Qualifikationsrennen (22.- 23. April 2017) die blaue Lampe gesichert, mit der die 30 schnellsten Fahrzeuge im Starterfeld ausgestattet werden. Und auch die Startnummer 29 konnte sich mit einem sechsten Platz im kombinierten Qualifying-Ergebnis vor dem 24h-Rennen die blaue Lampe sichern. Die Startpositionen für das Einzelzeitfahren wurden traditionsgemäß wieder am Freitag ausgelost. Beim abendlichen Top-30-Qualifying im Sprint um die Pole-Position war Connor De Phillippi im Cockpit der Startnummer 29 lange Zeit mit seiner Rundenzeit von 8.16,102 Minuten führend, musste sich am Ende jedoch um 0,675 Sekunden denkbar knapp geschlagen geben. -
