PRESS RELEASE OJK BUILDS COOPERATION with PADJADJARAN UNIVERSITY Financial Services Sector Development and Improvement of Financ No. SP 78/DKSN/OJK/9/2015 PRESS RELEASE OJK BUILDS COOPERATION WITH PADJADJARAN UNIVERSITY Financial Services Sector Development and Improvement of Financial Literacy and Consumer Protection (Jakarta, October 1, 2015). Financial Services Authority (OJK) has made cooperation with Padjadjaran University (Unpad) in effort to continuously support development in financial services sector and to improve financial literacy and consumer protection in the sector. Memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the cooperation covers research, education and community service in the framework of developing financial services sector as well as improving financial literacy and consumer protection. Signing of MoU was conducted by Head of Board of Auditors and Member of OJK Board of Commissioners for Internal Audit, Risk Management and Quality Control Ilya Avianti and Unpad Rector Tri Hanggono Achmad. Ilya Avianti in her speech said that the cooperation is expected to be able to improve understanding and awareness among society regarding characteristics, products and services of financial services institutions, and also to encourage people to understand about their rights and obligations as consumers of products and services offered by financial services institutions. “This cooperation is expected to be able to support the realization of improving and expanding society’s access to products and services of financial services institutions, and enhancing society’s capability in financial planning,” Ilya added. Ilya Avianti also said that if members of society discover matters that should be fixed during the process of implementing OJK’s duties and authority, or if they find facts on infringement allegedly committed by OJK personnel, they are expected to report through OJK’s Whistle Blowing System (WBS). Some of programs in the cooperation include: (1) Joint research and/or grants for researches related to financial services sector development, financial literacy and consumer protection. (2) Cooperation in education is implemented through, among others: a. Formulating syllabus and modules for subjects on financial services sector development, financial literacy improvement, and consumer protection; and b. Providing educators and resource persons for subjects on financial services sector. (3) Cooperation in community service is implemented through, among others; a. Implementing thematic study service scheme (KKN) on financial literacy and consumer protection; b. Providing OJK booth at Unpad campus as a place to give information and education about characteristics, products and services of financial services institutions, and also providing access for complain reports. Besides with Unpad, OJK has made similar cooperation with other universities, including with Perbanas Institute, University of Indonesia, Gadjah Mada University, Diponegoro University, Malang Muhammadiyah University, Wakhid Hasyim University, Sumbawa University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Hamka Muhammadiyah University, Indonesia Banking School, Indonesian Business School (STIEBI) and IMMI Management School (STIMA IMMI). *** * For more information: Retno Wulandari, Deputy Commissioner 1B for Strategic Management, Financial Services Authority. Rural Bank has not been widely known by the public and has not been used by the government to support economic development in order to improve the welfare of the people, especially in rural areas. Although the development of the assets, the amount of savings, deposits and loans from the Rural Bank belonging to the Provincial Government of West Java and Banten is likely to increase, but not matched by a stable growth in operating income, which tend to fluctuate, so that shows the performance is not optimal. Similarly, private Rural Bank are generally also experienced performance that is not optimal. This study aimed to examine the effect of the partnership and competitive strategy toward the rural bank performance in West Java. Data were collected through questionnaires to 50 respondents and analyzed using PLS. The results showed that competitive strategy has a greater influence rather than business partnership on rural bank performance.

Universities have an important role towards students in building professional competence through the fulfillment of periodic updated learning curricula. This study aims to gather information related to the number of universities, the number of relevant courses, the number of undergraduate and graduate programs, the application of courses that join with other sciences, teaching methodologies, publications in the internal journals of tertiary institutions, activities involving college students, organizations or student associations, website availability, publication of sustainability reports, and participation of environmental assessment at universities in Indonesia included in the QS World University Ranking 2019. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The study population is all universities in Indonesia included in the QS World University Ranking 2019. The research results obtained were 44.44% of the universities included in the QS World Rankings University 2019 rank had integrated courses related to environmental accounting and reporting in the education curriculum at the level proportion of 1.24%. 33.33% of universities apply study programs that are still relevant to the aspects of sustainability and the environment in their educational curriculum. All universities have courses outside the concepts of environmental accounting and reporting that combine with other sciences. All universities apply teaching methods in the classroom. The University has an average of 5 publications per year of research related to environmental accounting and reporting. The university still has a sufficient number of activities of 5-7 activities involving students related to environmental sustainability.

CHD has become a concern because it has caused a lot of deaths. Risk factors linked with CHD consist of permanent risk factors and variable risk factors. The purpose of the research is to analyze the correlation between variable risk factors and CHD in the Minahasa ethnic society in Manado City. This research was an observational case- control study conducted by Prof. dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital, Manado, from August to October 2016. In total, there were 220 patients included. The sampling used a simple random sampling method and the data obtained were analyzed by chi-squared test. According to the results, hypertension, smoking, and behavioral type were connected to cases of CHD. The correlation degree showed that the respondents suffering hypertension were 5.70 times more likely to suffer CHD, the smoking respondents were 2.25 times more likely to experience, and behavior type A respondents were 2.96 times more likely to suffer CHD. Hypertension, smoking, and behavioral type are linked with CHD, so there should be some promotion and preventive actions from the health governmental institution to society, especially aimed at adults, about the quality of life enhancement by healthy behavior and avoiding CHD risk factors.
