Moeller SENIOR REPORTER RUTHERFORD — Leslie O'Keefe, longtime super- intendent of schools in Rutherford, will retire July n minutes 1. The administrator gave her three-month notice to the Board of Education Thursday, April 1. The news came in the wake of Rutherford's budget crunching, which will result in several layoffs and pro- gram cuts throughout the district. O'Keefe, who has served as superintendent for 10 years, was vocal during the Board's March 31 budget presentation that the circumstances involving Rutherford and its loss of state aid are devastating. "It gives me an enormous amount of pain" to stand here and say these things, O'Keefe said to assembled board members and parents. The cuts are "beginning the disman- tling of an outstanding school district." But, current events are not the reason O'Keefe is choos- ing to end her career. Jan. 9, 2009 - PRLog -- Feeding off the company's successful RiffTrax Live! events in California, RiffTrax has announced their intention to bring the popular format to fans across the country and the world over the internet, courtesy of their partner, uStream.tv. The inaugural RiffTrax Live! webcast will begin on January 15th, 2009 at 6:00 PM PST on the RiffTrax website, and will be freely available to anyone who wishes to participate in this historic event. The evening's format will be familiar to fans of the website. Headlining the event will be the creative masterminds behind television's cult sensation, Mystery Science Theater 3000. The show's stars and lead writers--Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett--will add their humorous, sarcastic and mocking commentary to a short film from 1951, "Self-Conscious Guy," as live audiences watch and listen along with them. Afterwords, fans will be able to participate in a question-and-answer session with the three comedians. RiffTrax plans to make these live broadcasts a regular occurrence, citing the internet's ability to effectively reach the website's disparate fanbase and to provide a free alternative to an in-person production. Contingent on the success of the inaugural broadcast, RiffTrax hopes that this new delivery medium will enable them to host live events with greater frequency in the future. -

EXT.QATAR.EVENING a Cloaked Figure Is Being Quickly Escorted
1 EXT.QATAR.EVENING A cloaked figure is being quickly escorted down the stairs of a majestic palace by two guards. Upon reaching the bottom, a suitcase is thrown down to her from the palace's front door. CLOAKED FIGURE You better not have scratched any of decorative civil war liquor decanters or I'm sending the army from my new country to burn this pile to the ground! The guards are shaken, yet firm in their resolve. GUARD 1 How could you have betrayed us, Magistrate? Betting our gross national product on a horse race! GUARD 2 Indeed, and Mr. Fiddles? He was 200 to 1! The cloaked figure brushes away some imaginary dirt. CLOAKED FIGURE Play it big, or go home to mommy! Besides, I didn't want to be boss of your stinky stupid country anyway. I'm outta here! The cloaked figure pulls back the hood of her cloak to reveal none other than PEARL FORRESTER. PEARL FORRESTER Besides, I've got unfinished business elsewhere! Pearl storms up to the royal VW Microbus parked haphazardly on the edge of a fountain, waste oil fouling the 15,000 year old marble. She starts the Widowmaker, and zooms into the sky leaving a plume of ionized air and Keno tickets in her wake. PEARL FORRESTER Come on... I could swear this was the jacket with my sunglasses. Dear Cinematic Titan
4/26/2017 Dear Cinematic Titanic ****** CINEMATIC TITANIC. Dear Joel, Josh, Trace, Mary Jo, Frank, and Anson Williams: This is an open invitation to come riff with us. Any, or all of you; whenever mutually convenient. There will be snacks. One of you has already done so. She even rejoined your august group for more of your own work, none worse for the wear. (We hope… But please do check with her.) We tried to get a game going already, but to be fair… you needed to launch before doing anything else. And that you did, with great fanfare and success. Bravo, sirs. And lady. Now that you’re very much afloat — we’d like you all to know, on the record*, that our door** is open. Come and play. We’re not going away anytime soon, and neither are you. Shooting one of your episodes takes longer, with its visual component, we understand. But when your schedule lightens up, and you’re between shoots, come do a Rifftrax with us in the meantime. Any of you — even Mary Jo. (Really MJ, we’ll have an actual chair for you this time.) Lots of movies out there, lots of riffer combinations possible, and many schedulefriendly shorts still beg for riffing. We could even do a flash animation of some sort. It boggles the mind! To repeat: there will be snacks. Of fairly decent quality. Not amazing, but really… fairly decent, all in all. Life is too short to pretend that our fellow MST3K alums don’t exist. That might be awkward anyway, if we run into each other at some big event wearing the same outfit.
