Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore announces the schedule of its Common Entrance Test (DAVV CET-2021) in various newspapers at National Level as well as through its website https://davv.nta.ac.in in for admission in the above mentioned UG and PG programs being offered at its University Teaching Departments (UTDs) for the session 2021-22. National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted to conduct Common Entrance Test for the various Programs being offered at University Teaching Departments of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. The admission Brochure for admission for the session 2021-22 is available on the University Website. After getting the information regarding programs and fulfilling the eligibility criteria, a student can apply for a group of programs by paying required registration amount for common entrance test. Admissions are done through a counselling process based on merit obtained in DAVV CET-2021. 4. WHAT ARE THE IMPORTANT DATES? HOW MUCH IS THE DAVV CET- 2021 APLICATION FEE? Online application fee for DAVV CET-2021 is Rs. 1500/- (Non-refundable). The application fee for NRI candidates is Rs. 5000/-. Candidate can pay fee online through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking / UPI etc. from anywhere. 6. WHAT ARE THE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS? A Student should first check if he/she meets the eligibility criteria for the program he/she wishes to pursue, should fill the registration for entrance test (DAVV CET-2021), should appear in DAVV CET-2021 test conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and based on merit obtained in DAVV CET-2021 test, students will be called for counselling and admission. For Indian Students: Once the candidate has paid the fee to reserve the seat at the time of counselling, the Provisional Admission Certificate is issued by the university. Admission is confirmed after depositing the full fee and all necessary documents. For N.R.I and PIO / Foreign Nationals: The candidates seeking admission against these categories shall be eligible for admission without the Entrance Test. Such candidates should fulfil the eligibility requirements of the concerned programme with at least 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination. Such candidates should apply to the “Chairman, Admission Cell, School of Physics, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Takshashila Campus, Khandwa Road, Indore, M. P.-452001” separately. 7. WHAT IF A STUDENT FAILS TO REGISTER FOR ENTRANCE TEST BEFORE THE DEADLINE? No application will be entertained after last date. 8. HOW TO APPLY WHEN THE FINAL SEMESTER CERTIFICATES HAVE NOT YET BEEN RECEIVED? The candidates awaiting their results of qualifying examination can also apply for admission but the candidate has to submit the final mark sheet / grade sheet of qualifying examination by 30.09.2021 or the date as decided by the University, else admission will automatically be cancelled. 9. HOW DOES THE ADMISSION PROCESS WORK? A candidate has to firstly register for Common Entrance Test (DAVV CET-2021) through https://davv.nta.ac.in, appear in the test and then based on merit of DAVV CET-2021, the admission will be done through counselling process of eligible candidates. The process of counselling will be notified after declaration of the result. 10. WHAT IS THE BASIS FOR AN ADMISSION DECISION? Merit in Common Entrance Test (DAVV CET-2021) 11. WHAT IS THE SCHEME FOR EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION IN PROGRAMMES AFTER 10+2 (Group B)? The papers will have multiple choice questions, having choices a, b, c, d and e. The Test for Group B shall include 75 multiple choice questions in all, of which 15 questions (Class 12th Level) will be from each of the following sections: 3 | P a g e • Quantitative Ability • Data Interpretation • Logical Reasoning and General Intelligence • English Language Comprehension • General Awareness and Awareness of Socio-economic environment 12. WHAT IS THE SCHEME FOR EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION IN PROGRAMMES AFTER 10+2 (Group C)? The Test for Group C shall include total 75 multiple choice questions, of which 15 questions will be from English Language Comprehension and 20 questions each from Physics, Mathematics/Biology and Chemistry (Class 12th Level). In the Test for Group C, the candidate will have the following choices: B. Pharm. 4 Yrs.: English Language Comprehension, Physics, Mathematics/Biology and Chemistry MBA (HA) 5 Yrs.: English Language Comprehension, Physics, Chemistry, Biology MCA 5 Yrs., M. Tech. 5 Yrs.: English Language Comprehension, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics : 3 Yrs.: English Language Comprehension, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics B.Sc. (Applied Statistics and Analytics) 3 Yrs.: English Language Comprehension, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics B.Sc. (Electronics, Computer Science, Mathematics) 3 Yrs.: English Language Comprehension, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. B.Sc. (Electronics, Physics, Mathematics) 3 Yrs.: English Language Comprehension, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. Students who do not opt for Mathematics will not be considered for MCA / M. Tech. / B.Sc. & similarly who do not opt for Biology will not be considered for MBA (HA). 13. CAN A CANDIDATE OPT BOTH GROUPS B AND C? The candidate can opt both groups B and C, if eligible. The test timings will be different. 14. WHAT IS THE SCHEME FOR EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION IN PROGRAMMES AFTER GRADUATION (Group A)? There is common test paper for programs of Group A. The papers will have multiple choice questions, having choices a, b, c, d and e. The test papers will be in English. The candidate can opt any course of the group, if eligible. The Test for Group A shall include 75 MCQs in all, of which 15 questions (Graduation Level) will be from each of the following sections: Quantitative Ability Data Interpretation Logical Reasoning and General Intelligence English Language Comprehension General Awareness and Awareness of Socio-Economic environment 4 | P a g e 15. WHAT IS MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTIONS FOR DAVV CET-2021? In DAVV CET- 2021, the medium is English. 16. HOW DO I KNOW ABOUT NUMBER OF SEATS IN PROGRAMS? Kindly, refer to the section “Programme, Seats and Eligibility (Group-wise)” in Admission Brochure. 17. WHAT ABOUT RESERVATION POLICY? Reservation of seats in programmes offered by the University will be in accordance with the policy of Madhya Pradesh Government at the time of counselling. The benefit of reservation will be available, only to the domiciles of Madhya Pradesh. 18. IS THERE ANY PROVISION FOR RESERVATION FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (PWD)? One seat on over and above basis in each program (Excluding B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) is reserved for PwD candidates with disability percentage of 40 or above. Candidates claiming admission against these seats shall be required to produce Disability Certificate from the concerned District Medical Board. 19. HOW DO I KNOW THE FEE STRUCTURE OF PROGRAMS? Kindly, refer to the section “Programme-wise Fee Structure” in Admission Brochure. 20. IS THERE ANY NEGATIVE MARKING IN DAVV CET- 2021 TEST? The scheme of negative is followed (3R-W) in DAVV CET- 2021 test, where for every correct answer 3 marks would be awarded and for every wrong response one mark would be deducted. 21. IS THERE ANY PROVISION OF REVALUATION IN DAVV CET- 2021 TEST? There is no provision for revaluation of Computer Based Test. 22. WHAT IF DAVV CET-2021 SCORES ARE TIED? All India merit list of candidates shall be prepared on the basis of marks secured in the DAVV CET-2021 Computer Based Test (CBT).
