As Ahmadi Muslim mothers we have the enormous responsibility of raising our children to understand, practice and love the beautiful teachings presented to us by Allah through His Holy Qur’an and our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw). The reality we face is that our children are attracted to the strong influences of society all around them, which pull them away from the good teachings of Islam and many of them sadly lose their connection with Islam and the Jama’at. It was decided then that A Mother’s Handbook, serving as a reference guide and a support for mothers on raising Ahmadi children from birth to college age, should be compiled. Ahmadi mothers have the immense task of not only raising good citizens, but raising children who love Allah, who turn to Him in Prayer and who strive their utmost to read, understand and live by the Holy Qur’an; children who have that distinction of knowing the Promised Messiah (as) has come, who listen to and love the Khalifa of the time and identify themselves with Jama’at Ahmadiyya. There are many excellent books on parenting in the secular world, whereas the purpose of this book is to serve as a companion to help and remind mothers about the Tarbiyat (moral training) of their children and of setting the best example for their children’s spiritual journey. Whether you are a mother already or a mother to be, Insha’Allah, I am sure you will find this book to be most resourceful. University of Agder, 2013 Faculty of Engineering and Science Department of Information and Communication Technology Abstract Political opinions far from what is considered normal, a distorted view of reality, and hatred to certain other groups are spread amongst political extremists like Islamists and White Supremacists. Demonstrations and violence performed by some members of these groups are well-known from mass media and get a lot of attention. The Islamists and right-extremists exploit this benefit to spread their message to ordinary people. In online forums, young, curious people can read detailed information (or propaganda) from extremists. Which words do extremists then use to convince each other in addition to other curious readers that what they stand for is right? The goal of this thesis is to first find algorithms or techniques for how to discover characteristic vocabulary in online extremist forums and words that frequently are used in the same forum message. Then we analyse the results to find patterns of what is typical vocabulary in the different forums. Mapping the extremists’ habits of vocabulary usage can help us know better how extremists write in online extremist forums, and possibly also help us recognize them when they write on some other websites.

    introduction tablighi jamaat What is In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh A brief introduction to Tabligh Jama’at and their objectives (TABLIGHI JAMAAT KA MUKHTASAR TAARUF) Tabligh literally means „to convey‟. Contextually, it refers to conveying the message of Islam. This is the sunnah of all the prophets. The most important rule of tabligh is hikmah. Allah Ta‟ala says in the Holy Quran: ادع إنٗ سبٛم سبك بانحكًت ٔانػًٕظت انحسُت Invite (people) to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good counsel. (Verse: 16:125) Whosoever does tabligh must adopt hikmah. It is only then, that people will understand and accept. Tablighi Jamaat is not a jamaat/group Rather it is a movement that saw a gradual evolution starting from 1920-27. Proof from Quran and Hadith For The Work of Tabligh The work of tabligh „has strong basis in Quran and sunnah‟. There are numerous verses of the Quran and the Ahadith of Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) that support the practice of tabligh.
