Member of the Toronto Soccer Association (TSA) | 13 –20 August 2011 History The tournament was founded in 2005 by Danylo Sawalaga, an Australian‐Ukrainian. What was originally an informal 'kick about' between a few friends from Great Britain, the United States and Australia has evolved into what is now known as the International Ukrainian Football Tournament. The vision for the competition was to unite all those with a passion for football. It would give Ukrainians from around the world to bond firstly as Ukrainians and as passionate football players and supporters to exchange ideas, learn from each other and use these ideas to fthfurther dldevelop the ir respective ftbllfootball clblubs to bfitbenefit ftfuture generations. The tournament is rotational, since inception tournaments have been held in: • Nottingham, England, 2009 – Winner, Team Canada • Adelaide, Australia, 2008 –Winner, Team Ukraine • Sydney, Australia, 2007 – Winner, Sydney Trident 1 | 13 –20 August 2011 2011 Hosting Team Organizing Committee ‐ USC Karpaty ‐ USC Karpaty is a not‐for‐profit soccer club which was established in 2002. Since then, the club has grown to include over 250 children, youth and adult members. Players participate in house leagues and competitive leagues from ages 5 – 17. The club also supports a first division competitive team and open age “Old Boys” team. There is also a summer soccer camp organized by the club annually. The club is a member of Toronto Soccer Association which is part of Ontario Soccer Association and Canadian Soccer Association, Ukrainian Sports Federation of U.S.A. and Canada (USCAK), and International Ukrainian Football Tournament (IUFT). USC Karpaty is proud to host the 2011 International Ukrainian Football Tournament! 112 | 13 –20 August 2011 Tournament Overview The Venue The tournament will take place at Centennial Park Stadium from the 13th – 20th of August, 2011. The venue has plenty of free parking and access to public transit. Matches are held during the day and are followed by planned activities and events around Toronto.
