Athletics Canada is delighted to partner with Beynon and Playteck on a long-term basis, to at least the end of 2025, as it recognizes the elite quality of these running track surfaces. Our Olympic Trials in June at Centre Claude Robillard in Montreal will once again be on a Beynon track, as it was in 2016 at University of Alberta and Calgary’s Foothills Athletic Park in 2012. Next year, the same will occur with the Canada Summer Games at the newly completed Beynon track at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, following up on a similar Beynon track at University of Manitoba in 2017. And of course, 2022 will see the jewel in the crown – the World Athletics Championships to be staged on Beynon’s elite system when the world’s finest athletes meet to determine global honours at University of Oregon’s Hayward Field, known as ‘TrackTown USA’. With more than sixty Beynon tracks installed across all ten provinces by Playteck, including Canada’s first outdoor 8 lane 400 metre synthetic track installed last year in Whitehorse, Yukon, we are pleased to confirm that Beynon synthetic tracks, as installed by Playteck Enterprises, has been formally endorsed as the “Official Synthetic Running Track for Athletics Canada.” Whether you are considering building or resurfacing a small 3 lane indoor 200 metre recreational track or a full 8 lane outdoor 400 metre elite competitive track to World Athletics International Class ll certification standards, we encourage you to consider using this high quality system. With all polyurethane products manufactured within North America and Playteck’s installation crew headquartered in New Brunswick, the reliability of the product has been proven in all environmental conditions for more than 30 years across the continent, and more than 15 years across Canada. The fully insured, prepaid third-party warranty issued by Beynon Sports, A Tarkett Company is industry leading.
