Atlanta, Georgia 30303 Dear Mrs. Bolden: I want to thank you once again for your participation in our March and Rally for Full Employment as part of The King Center's celebration of my husband's 47th birthday. In donating your valuable time and your special insights regarding our nation's number one problem, you made a significant contribution to the furtherance of my husband's ideals and work. For me personally, the occasion was a most meaningful and memorable experience. The March and Rally provided a format whereby people like yourself could express on behalf of your constituency your concerns and give recommendations regarding the alleviation of unemployment in this country. Thank you very much for joining us and I sincerely hope that we will continue to work cooperatively on solving the number one problem that is presently affecting all Americans and also other areas of concern that must be addressed if this country is to be the country it was meant to be. Please know, too, that you have the profound gratitude of the King Family, the King Center's directors, trustees and staff. Mrs. Martin Luther King, Jr. CSK/gsb Enel. Knowing and appreciating your steadfast support of The King Center, I truly hope you will be able to attend this most important gathering. My address is 234 Sunset Avenue, N.W. Atlanta, Georgia 30303 Dear Mrs. Bolden: I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to you for serving as an honorary Co-Chairperson to the Full Employment Conference Committee for our 1977 Annual Program, planned around Martin’s 48th birthday celebration. It was quite successful. The Annual January Program is now history. This Program, the Inaugural activities during the following week and the subsequent confirmation and swearing-in of Andrew Young (my husband’s colleague and King Center Board Member) as our Ambassador to the United Nations gave pause for grateful reflection as we took full cognizance of the great strides that have been made since Montgomery, 1955. We are, however, equally cognizant that there is still much unfinished work and we enlist your continued support of our endeavors and our Programs as we hasten the day that men will live together as brothers and use their creative capacities to overcome the evils that prevent us from improving our quality of life. Again, my profound gratitude for your participation in our Program. CSK/bk Scott King Rev.
