ALIF AILAAN UPDATE May 2014 May at Alif Ailaan • Launching the Pakistan District Education Rankings 2014 • Supporting enrolment across the country • Taking our message to an international audience • Building political consensus for education reform DISTRICT EDUCATION RANKINGS 2014 On May 22, we launched the Alif Ailaan Pakistan District Education Rankings 2014. This is the second edition of our groundbreaking study, first published in May 2013, to take stock of the state of education across Pakistan’s 146 districts. They spoke with passion about the state of education in their areas and reiterated their commitment to education reform. Our education activists supported provincial and regional governments to get more children into school. These activities, held in 21 districts, drew more than 2,400 participants. MIRPUR :17 students were enroled during the event in Baydal.
