Halal technique course Sun, 21 Oct A course on the halal technique of slaughter was conducted with the assistance of ABIM today, at the Dewan Penduduk Pantai Permai. The program had attracted nearly 120 participants, which is a great success. YB Nurul Izzah attended the practical portion of this course and subsequently distributed certificates of participation and appreciation to the attendees and course instructors. It is greatly hoped that such knowledgebased courses can be conducted again in the near future, to upgrade the skills of residents in Lembah Pantai. Providing assistance Fri, 19 Oct YB Nurul Izzah today contributed some items which is hoped will help to alleviate the problems faced. One of the items contributed is a wheelchair, contributed by a silent supporter. Another contribution was via the Skim Mesra Usia Emas program under the Selangor State Government, which provides for a small monetary compensation upon the death of an elderly family member born in Selangor. Forum in Taman Tan Yew Lai Sun, 21 Oct YB Nurul Izzah and YB Liew Chin Tong (MP for Bukit Bendera) today conducted another forum on Budget 2013 after a very successful outing in Lucky Garden on 13th October. This time, a similarly fantastic response was seen when the forum was held in Taman Tan Yew Lai, where over 100 attendees came despite the heavy downpour just an hour before the forum began. This forum, conducted at the carpark of Lan Je Restaurant in Jalan Taman Tan Yew Lai, raised issues relate to the mountainous debt of RM502 billion (anticipated for 2013), and brought to fore the policies laid by Pakatan Rakyat should it come into power including the minimum wage policy of RM1,100, 20% oil royalty to oilproducing states, and much more. The attendees also raised concerns and deep grouses about the very controversial Automated Enforcement System (AES) speedtraps.
